Does anyone else think that the cutscene in 343 Guilty Spark where the flood is first revealed feels kinda weird in Halo CE Anniversary, as apposed to the original 2001 cutscene?
For example, the less dramatic camera angles before Master Chief catches Mandoza's body when the door opens.
Also, during the helmet cam sequence, there isn't as big an impression that they're surrounded by the flood, and the flood never attatch themselves to anyone in front of you during the cutscene. They just seem to sworm Jankens/you, and aren't all over the floor and everyone else, like in the original, nor do they drop from the ceiling as much. There just isn't the same sense of chaos and terror during the attack.
This isn't terrible, I know, in fact there's alot to like about the new cutscene, such as the up-to-date character animations and facial expressions. I also dug the muffled sounds of gun shots as well as the audio/visual cut-outs of the helmet cam's recording.
It's just too bad not everything remianed intact, but that's just my opinion. What do you guys think? Do you prefer the original or remastered version of this scene?
