Whoa there. I meant those days where you can't play and even the average players dominate you. Eg. off days

..And I'm gonna round my f.ucks given up to 0.

On my "SUPER ROLES" I would get like 10-15 kills a life, yet my K/D is less than 1. It's 0.81 by the way.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I'm never on a roll. I'm extremely inconsistent, especially with the sniper rifle. Any W/L or K/D consistency I appear to have is based almost entirely on my teammates.

Stop beating yourself up. Just steady your aim and focus. Then swing that targeting reticle around like crazy because swipe sniping is crazy strong in this game.

We need more supportive and nice people on the Halo forum.

Everest, that's probably because you're getting more bad games than good ones. A few good games isn't going to change your k/d unless you went super huge, but even then it would most likely only go up by a couple numbers at most.

I try and it doesn't take. My aim is in a perpetual state of horrifying inconsistency, whether I'm focused or not and regardless of sensitivity settings. This includes swipe-sniping. I have a bad habit of circling my aim while trying to acquire a finishing headshot with my DMR for some unbeknownst reason. I can't shake it and it frustrates me to no end. That's part of the reason that chaotiiic kid manhandled me so bad the other night. I derped so bad with my aim it wasn't funny.

Arrghrgrhg!!!! I hoped that wouldn't be the problem. BUT, it went up, aall the way from a 0.42

This. It's way harder to get your K/D up than to get it to go down. Trust me, after playing maybe 20 games of MLG, my K/D has gone down .04 points and counting. I'm not letting that deter me from playing MLG, though. I'm at a point where I don't care about K/D so much anymore.

Well maybe when your k/d is that low it can change by a lot. I'm not really sure since I've never been in that situation. I know it's slower when you're higher up though.

For the OP, when I'm on a roll I'm usually thinking how the hell did I just do that. My thumbs/eye coordination are in perfect harmony.

  • 11.24.2011 9:32 PM PDT

I never even knew what a k/d is until I came to the forum.....

That sounds like something that was more useful with three shot BR.

BTW I have a similar problem with my aim where I aim at the empty space next to an enemy's head right when I'm trying to get the finishing headshot. It has been diminishing in severity, but it still affects my games.

It's weird when I do it. You'd swear I was doing it deliberately if you'd see it. I let the reticle fully retract to ensure accuracy, and then for some reason I swirl my aim around my opponent's head for at least one rotation before finishing the shot.
