Subject: new achievements

these new reach achievements are dumb because they are map specific. why cant they just unlock the achievements once you purchase the maps so that the achievement can be done on any map? people aren't buying the maps so it then becomes hard to complete these challenges. i feel like i am being punished because i got the maps but i'm not allowed to play on them becuase others won't buy the maps either. does anyone else feel the same way about this?

Why is every one complaining about these achievements? Halo 3 had map specific achievements and I never saw this much complaining about it.

while i agree ppl need to shut up, in halo 3 you could get the new achevs on the map required or anythin above, not so with these, it says defiant it means DEFIANT. which frankly is a pain in the ass

One of the few solutions is to play with a party where you'll get the majority of the votes for a specific gametype and then get it that way.

But there is no guarantee that everyone in the game will have the Defiant/Anniversary map pack, especially in large playlists like Living Dead.

You'll have to either play with a full party or keep playing until everyone does have it.

Halo 3: ReV Eskimo

eventually ill be back on Reach and CEA. i enjoy gaming for fun, im a great player and i enjoy smoking while i play. so any chill players feel free to add me. I in NO way support halocharts; old username.

encourages people to buy the new maps AND to play the new maps. its not that big of a deal.

  • 11.24.2011 9:35 PM PDT

i think it would be better if the achievements were able to be unlocked in any map instead of a map specific one. you can still make it so you can't unlock the achievement if you don't have the appropriate dlc.

OATMEAL? Are you crazy?!

Wait, so even though I have the new maps and every other map pack, I have to get in a lobby with everyone who has them too? And I have to play on those maps? Wow... not looking forward to Infection on Highlands, although I do adore that map, I don't understand why I must play on it to unlock an achievement.

Please don't hype for games...
They'll just fall short of your expectations and you'll complain for months.

Because there were "all DLC required" playlists and many of the gametypes that you got achievements on (living dead, grifball) also required all DLC

Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

Because in Halo 3 you got to play those maps sometimes because they were required to play in matchmaking. I haven't played in Defiant maps even once in matchmaking excluding Premium battle.

because people really want to find ways to hate on Reach, so anything that pops up, they quickly take advantage of. It is just a fad that the little kids are going through.

..or maybe people just dislike Reach because it just simply isn't as good as the other Halos or other games in general in their opinion?

People are complaining about this because it's almost impossible to get to play in defiant maps in matchmaking. Use common sense.

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

The problem isn't even the achievement itself, it's finding the damn map and gametype combined. Which is very rare.

100% Australian.

My Connection
My House
My Pet

I heard the new ones have to be done on Noble maps, the 'Defiant:' and 'Anniversary:' prefixes that appear before the description of each achievement are just there to throw you off.

No, they're not there to throw people off. They're there because they are required.

thank you Viper Skills. thats the problem; it's rare to get the prefect combo of map and gametype to even attempt the achievement.

Sure but I am so much better than everyone else that I cannot play with a full team on this account. Nobody wants to fight for second best player on the team =(

I would like to thank BadVVo1f for this signature!

FPS games FTW!

Why not get a party full of friends and "guests" and go into game and boost for the chieves? I will do it at some point maybe with my friends because i already completed all the achievements now i have to do it again!
