Subject: Bungie.net Update?

yas334229812

When do you think this is going to happen.
The background has been new for quite some time now, and their new ip is a couple of years away. Some thinking 2013.

Is it likely that Bunige.net will get an update in say 3 to 6 months or 6 months to 1 year.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I'm hoping in new Hawtness 3.0 we can add pics in groups.

I imagine that any form of a huge update to the website will occur well after they've announced their next game.

  • 11.25.2011 1:44 PM PDT

When they announce their next game, maybe even after that.

Yeah a huge update will be after the release of their game but i feel their will be minor updates for new things, cause things are going to change and they have to make it a home for their new game.

  • 11.25.2011 1:48 PM PDT

What a hipster.

The Web Team is pretty good at the whole "lets hold it off and make it as good as possible" thing. I'm guessing mid to late 2012, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're working on it as we speak.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

*4.0 (*5.0?)

Considering what happened with the Bewb Thread in Mythic Members, I don't see that happening.

Though i have a feeling like what they did with the background they are going to add some little clues to their game. And just update it.

Plus the new game may need new mechanics so they may need to test certain parts out. Which is why they will update certain new features, that are not much of spoilers.

What? Got something against Yetis?

I'm excited. I hope they add new avatars.

I hate when some people ruin something for everyone. :/

Seeing as Mythic, Legendary, and Heroic don't -at least I don't think- really relate to the new game / universe Bungie is creating, I'm guessing the Title System is going to get a major overhaul.

True and new avatars are likely, as well as new forums. Maybe some forums would be renamed but likely not, only addition of new forums and all the halo forums meshed into one forum.

Who says that they wont keep the difficulty levels the same?

By "major overhaul" you mean "gotten rid of".

It very well could. There's no reason they shouldn't. It's Bungie's system of naming the Difficulty Settings on games, so they can (and might) do with it what they will.

Although, Acky has hinted at an overhaul or removal of the title system in the past few weeks and months; so, we shall see.

No title system, I wonder how some people will react.

No. I would get banned every few weeks so as to not ever risk using or attaining titles like that.... :\

Not likely, although there may be a new title system where people have to work up from.

Plus when was the last update, even a minor one.

The whole space idea just seems so "been there done that" to me. I'm hoping for something fresh, something new. Not necessarily the greatest game ever, I know if I put that idea in my head nothing will ever live up to the expectations.

Although July 7th looks like a time when something on their new ip may be released, and so major update is likely then.

Plus release trailer or anouncement trailer of their game may be another reason of having a major update.

Well, it looks like the future of Bungie is in the stars from what I have seen.

People would get over it pretty fast. We went years without titles and survived just fine.

Maybe but if their new game comes out the new members will be annoying and to set an example you need some role models, and something to look up to. It might even tie in with their new game.

Talon, this ^ is what I was implying. I'm all for removing titles; looking back at some of the old 04 posts, everyone considered each others as equals allowing for a extremely friendly environment, something I feel we're lacking in today's Community. But on the other hand, Daz also brought up some pretty nifty ideas. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing the site turn in either direction. I'm just sick of the same old same old.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

I'd probably think a new update is a year away. When the new IP is announced, a new forum will pop up. Eventually they will have to make this site bi-console friendly.
