Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Yeah they suck for competitive gameplay, but they're much better than loldefaultreach maps. Not to mention the fact that the gametypes are 1000% better than loldefaultreach gametypes. I'm staying in Anniversary until ZB MLG.

bungie has proven that a bunch of monkeys sitting in front of keyboards can randomly type out a masterpiece. the thing is, when you go to play the masterpiece, you cant help but notice all the monkey s**t smeared all over it.

it gets real old having to wait months for someone like mlg to clean off all the monkey poo.

Yah, this game is soooo luck-based.

it depends on your point of view.

for a halo game, it is undeniably bad competetively. if you compare it to trash like cod or gears then it does have competitive merit.

Yeah I know what you're checking for.

Sadly I got my 50 after they stopped doing the stats for Halo 3 here.

Killa KC has stated that Halo CEA maps will be used in MLG, what maps are good enough besides Beaver Creek?

I can see them taking out the CEA maps after just one season.

What goes up must come down.

But, the anniversary maps suck competitively. Most Halo CE maps sucked.

Damnation is an atrocity of a map and the team that spawns up high has a huge advantage.

Prisoner was always one of my least favorite maps, but now with jet pack it is retarded on a level close to Orbital from Halo 3.

Hang 'Em High is pretty awful too. No one ever leaves there base because you get team-shot immediately if you step foot on any of the walkways.

Battle Creek is the only map that can be considered not terrible. And that is only because it is symmetrical.

You Halo CE fans need to relax. Halo 2 and Halo 3 had much better maps and it would have been better to get some of those gems remade. Just saying.

I couldn't agree more! 343 ruined Halo and may continue to do so.

Marine Corps.
Semper Fi.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Add me for future Halo 4 fun, or if you want to see me playing non-stop Skyrim. :3

What people are failing to realize is the simple fact that any map in Reach will inevitably suck dick.

In my opinion, the Halo CE maps are awesome. What you gonna do?

I <3 Halo:Reach - amazingly fun and best campaign + amazing Soundtrack
I <3 Halo 3:ODST - best soundtrack + Firefight + Coastal Highway and Mombassa Streets, amazingly unique campaign.
I <3 Halo 3 - best multiplayer levels + Forge + best Custom Games + soundtrack
I <3 Halo 2 - amazing huge fun campaign + soundtrack + Fun multiplayer
I <3 Halo: CE - started it all

I really only hate Prisoner FFA. That is one of the most awful spawnings in any level.

However, for the campaign for Halo: CE? Why the hell do people always go back to that game and say it has an amazing campaign? It might have had a good campaign back in 2001, but really? 60% of the game is just doing the same levels over and over.

Presumably, he's going to not care and forget he ever read it .5 seconds after he stops reading it?

...And, entirely off-topic, I wonder if I should write something tonight. I'm in the mood for writing.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Halo 2 kids ftw

The CEA maps could all be improved, but they're remakes.

I think competitively there would need to be some edits for each map, like the suicidal walkways on High Noon, but at this point they're not in Arena or MLG.

I think Ridgeline is one of the better terrain maps, Battle Creek is the worst its too simple and dull.

I was floored the other day when Battle Canyon or whatever came up in Swat. It was probably one of the best games I've ever played.

As for the actual OP's point, like barely 5% of Reach's populace plays this game competitively. I imagine the other 95% are enjoying the -blam!- out of the newer maps.

Lets see.

The Pillar of Autumn, and 50% of the Maw are the same thing, you kill two different enemies in the same areas

Halo is unique.

Truth and reconciliation and the Level Keyes are really the same thing, you spend about 20% of the level outside the ship, then go back in it, to kill enemies in the same exact areas.

Assault on the Control Room and two betrayals are the exact same thing, One you walk forward, another you walk backward fighting different enemies.

Gulity Spark, you run into the building killing flood, every room looking the same with your little shotgun, and then you run back out the same way in every room looking the same killing flood.

The Library...lol do i even need to explain? The whole level is the same god damn thing, its the most dull and boring level in any Halo.

I should have said like 80% of the campaign is the same thing. The level Halo and the end of The Maw were the best and most unique.

ALSO I should have put, I'm not hating the game, because yes its still fun and I will always love Halo, its the best series made, but it really isn't the best campaign in all the Halo's. I personally think either Halo 3:ODST or Halo:Reach had the best campaign at of them all.

I share this account with my brother and friend.
If you got destroyed, it was me.
If you had a decent challenge, it was my bro.
If you observed said account struggling to aim, shoot, or move separately, it was my friend.

I disagree with OP's opinion so much that I am too mad to even pretend to respect it.

If you like Armor Lock, you are a troll.

I hate Halo 3 kids, so much. You haven't played any of these maps in CE. 2v2's on Prisoner was the most competitive Halo to date. Youtube it. It's literally a battle for map control the entire game. The maps are great, the game doesn't support them.

I mean, Jesus, I just read your entire post, and I think you might be retarded. You honestly think Halo 3 had better maps than CE. Good god bro, you're a Reachtard. At least inform yourself before posting something retarded. Look up CE 2v2's on any of those 4 maps. There were several reasons why those maps worked in that game and don't work in Reach, and them being asymmetric isn't one of them, tard.

I loved Halo 2 maps, they were all good except Backwash or whatever it's called, the foggy map. I think that was worse than Swordbase.

  • 11.26.2011 7:48 PM PDT

Beaver Creek
Elongation
Midship
Lockout
Turf
Ascension
Warlock
Ivory Tower
Sanctuary
Zanzibar

I could go on...

  • 11.26.2011 7:56 PM PDT

Halo 3 had The Pit and Guardian. Maybe Construct and Narrows.

I must be a noob because my only complain are the OP grenades... THEY NEED TO GO AND EFF A DUCK
