As the title asks, what do you expect to see this December 10th? Do you think we will get a full-blown, in game look at Halo 4 in some way, showing off the engine? Campaign? Multiplayer? Or do you think it will resemble the Halo Reach trailer that was audio over a video around the planet Reach?
I for one feel that we may finally get a look at the new engine. Thinking back to Halo 3 (the last "true" halo), Bungie had their release in the Fall with the multiplayer Beta in late Spring. If any attempts at a Beta are going to be made in a similar fashion (also assuming that a Fall 2012 as opposed to a Winter 2012/2013 release is the more accurate time frame of "Holiday 2012"), the game will have to be in a fairly late and playable stage come the new year. Trailers for the multiplayer debuted far before the beta around this time, and the trailer of the Ark portal debuted earlier than this.
I would expect to see mainly a look at the engine, environment(s), and a better idea of how the MC will look in-game, with little or no "action", meaning gun fire, enemies, vehicles. MC will hold a familiar gun (hopefully AR or BR), and probably either have a similar trailer feel to the ark portal of halo 3, but without the level of plot involvement. I would expect 343i to do their own in-game looks at the multiplayer afterwards, probably a holiday one or just into the new year.
Your thoughts? Your expectations? We may not even get a trailer, but that would be surprising.
