"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Drones. Ever battled a swarm while listening to Flight of the Bumblebees?

It's intense.

I'll try this sometime.

Op: Sangheili. I admire their code of honor and their weapons. I'd love to see a fight between Greek Hoplites and Sangheili with energy swords.
-blamin'- epic.
Hunters are second to the Elites since Hunters take orders from only them, despite being so powerful.
Brutes: "Dumb apes!"
Skirmishers: Annoying

I fail to see how Brutes are dumb, they were able to reach space-faring on their own, besides, at least they can keep a ship working even when downgraded (Elites decided to be dicks and downgraded their ships when they were given command of them) and they can repair them (Elites use them as engineers for their ships, so much for being dumb apes, eh?).

United Armed Forces

I'd have to say the covenant where God said he wouldn't kill all of us in anger again.

Oh, you mean species. Sangheili, of course.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Elites nor Hunters managed to thrill me that much in action scenes in the Halo novels. But Brutes....

Eric Nylund described them brilliantly in First Strike. Completely wild beasts that moved insanely fast on all fours and could pin Spartan-117 to the floor with steel-strength arms.

Drones. Very little is known about them. And they end up being just about as bizzare as Hunters.

Until there will be a brute capable of doing the same thing as an elite, I prefer the Elites.

Can an Elite beat a Hunter down to a pulp with his bare hands?

Yes... you remember "The Duel" Roxanne?

That wasn't with bare hands and that entire encounter was a complete exaggeration.

No elite can beat down a hunter with their bare hand although an elite are the best warriors and so are more likely to kill any of the other species

  • 11.30.2011 11:14 AM PDT

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Drones do not have the ability to fear.

  • 11.30.2011 11:43 AM PDT

I'm insane and I know it. That's what I like about myself.

I see your point, but remember this: The Jiralhanae destroyed their spacefaring technology during a giant civil war. If the Covenant hadn't found them, they would've most likely destroyed themselves. Also: In my eyes, the brutes are too bloodthirsty. Most of them would pick a fight whenever they can, and they rely only on brute force rather than cunning and strategy (hence the term Brutes.)
That's just my opinion on the matter, though.
Wait, who was I talking to? Mess-up-prone iPad.

Is not important. The point is what the Elites are not only strongs but smart and unforgivens. A brute is stupid and his strongness is nothing without a good control.

If they are so stupid then how come Elites use them to repair their ships? Oh, that's right, they don't know how to repair stuff, how ironic eh?

Really Brutes use Drones to repair and drive their own vessels.

Did you just implied that Drones have the capability of commanding vessels? Excuse me but, this is the only thing I can say. you serious?

The key word is DRIVE not commanding :/

Drive=Pilot, not command. And repair.

"Spartans are never missing in action, they just die, Jorge!" - Carter in The Halo Reach team is high on meth

agreed SEV 001, there ace snipers, an there fangs make em pretty hard in CQC against an unarmoured oponent

Command: "The Ability to use or control something: His command of English"

One of the definitions of command.

Another definition of command.

Besides, Drones do not communicate with other Covenant species so it's impossible for them to properly pilot ships.

Is not precisely correct. The drones do not communicate, that's true, but to receive orders is "natural" for them. Incidentally their is still a society of insects similar to that of bees or ants ... with the queen (often identified with a covenant leader or a prophet), which gives them their orders.

Typcial. So many people are clueless about Brutes.

You guys do realise that in First Strike, Brutes set up a very effective ambush against a whole TEAM of Spartan-II's (including John, Fred, Grace and Will) and managed to kill Grace and nearly kill John?

That's better than any Elite unit has ever managed in a single engagement...

  • 11.30.2011 1:43 PM PDT

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

That would imply having a queen speak to every drone in every ship, and that would halt proper use of the ships in question. And even if they could receive orders from the other species without problems, they do not have the authority in the Covenant Hierarchy to actually have pilot privileges, they are just cannon fodder liker Grunts.
