Planking : Parkour for people who don't move very fast.

As a matter of fact, the Reach era Bungie has many employees who worked for FASA. They made a game with bloom, abilities, etc. They went bankrupt. So, what better to do than acquire these employees and make a Halo reskin and a crappier version of a game that couldn't keep them from folding in?
The same could be said of the 343i roster. True, there are a whole 3 Bungie employees on there (One of whom is an environmental artist, but hey, Halo 4 should at least look good, then.) I see a lot of companies that either went under on their own, or got folded into their parent companies. Gearbox? Sweet, I loved Borderlands, logged over 150 hours on my 'Zerker. Pandemic? Awesome, SW Battlefront was a favorite of mine, even if it was a third person shooter. But then I am reminded the last FPS both Gearbox AND Pandemic worked on, was Duke Nukem Forever. A game that, though I played the originals when they were released whilst I was in grade school and loved them, I could not remove 'Forever' from my Xbox fast enough.
Then I look further down the line. Hey, Raven Software! I remember them, the Jedi Knight games, and X-men Legends .... oh, and Singularity, and Wolfenstien (remake) both games that were critically panned, and now they are relegated to making menus for CoD.
So I can look at the list of 343 employees, and while sure, they have done great things in the past, I have a hard time filling my eyes with nostalgia to look past the things they -blam!- up in more recent times. It's a group that has promised us "Halo returned to it's roots." When, of all the employees I see, 3 have worked on Halo before, 2 of those on an actual gameplay front.
I have hope Halo 4 will be good, and will judge it based on it's own merits and flaws like I do every game I play. But looking at the track record of everyone at 343, there are plenty of hiccups to make me keep that hope subdued.
