And i don't think he need one.
He made that from basic flood factors...it needs life to consume.
Which voi simply didn't have.

"Usually, the good Lord works in mysterious ways. But not today! This here is 66 tons of straight-up, H.E-spewing dee-vine intervention! If God is love, then you can call me Cupid!"

-Sgt. Johnson, Halo 2

Here is what would happen if the flood infected an imperial planet.

>They infect the planet
>The inquisition is notified and they send a large fleet to the planet.
>They drop virus bombs on the planet destroying all biological life on it.
>It destroys the flood and it's food source.

But the response time would vary from planet to planet.

Also Orks can do some major damage I mean really I remember hearing that the only way to completely remove an ork infestation is to destroy the planet.

They are extremely strong, and their squat bodies can withstand immense punishment. This is fortunate since the Painboyz operate on a generally nineteenth-century level of surgical knowledge; unlike humans, though, Orks are quite capable of being beheaded, having the head sewn onto a different body, and surviving the experience to fight again.

0.0 wow.

Orks have not only survived, they have prospered and are more numerous than even the myriad trillions of individuals who comprise humanity. This is due in part to how they reproduce; Orks release fungal spores, which grow into a plant-like womb underground that nourishes the bodies of the various Orkoid species. This is the entire basis of the Orkoid ecosystem, producing first Squigs, then Snotlings who cultivate the Squigs and the fungus they feed on, then Gretchin to build the settlements, and finally the Orks themselves. This means the Orks, whereever they go, will have an abundance of food, slaves and other resources, a moving Orkoid ecosystem that supports them as they go on their Waaaghs!
This also makes it extremely difficult to rid a planet of Orks, even if the initial invasion is defeated. Orks release spores throughout their lives, but release them massively at the moment of death. Without a nearby population of Orks, the fungus will eventually start the Orkoid life cycle anew. Decades after weathering an Ork Waaagh! settlements on a planet can find themselves faced with an unexpected attack from feral Ork tribes coming out of the wilderness. The only way to effectively remove all of the Orks on a planet is a planetary Exterminatus.

0.0 they reproduce like fungi wow.

The haloverse doesn't stand a chance every wh40k race is OP in it's own special way.

Quote source.

No, Grey's point is still very much valid.

You see, the line is once a single flood form or spore reaches the planet (combat/carrier/infection), the planet is entirely doomed and should simply be wiped clean of life.

Earth got a CCS-class battlecruiser FULL of flood forms and biomass, but was saved.

Therefore making the "Single spore reaches planet means everything on it is doomed" false. And nothing changes that.

KOTOR

Right, And when you have the Necrons that are capable of consuming all biological matter on the planet with their death machines, or an Imperial Exterminatus, the Flood are a lot less apocalyptic then they seem in Halo

Exactly, no event in the halo universe can compare to the wars that happen in warhammer, except maybe, the forerunner-flood war.
If the Flood were in Warhammer, they'd be simply treated as a joke.
They are nothing compared to the tyranids and orks. Heck Tryanids regularly consume entire planets, there isn't any matter that they can't break down.
Halo is done for.

Then why did the Forerunners destroy planets whenever a Flood spore showed up? A bit of an overreaction considering two vastly inferior races were able to contain their infection.

Who knows, the Forerunners completely devolved an entire race just because they pushed into Forerunner territory.

They seem like a race that takes reactions to the extreme.

Regardless, we have concrete proof that the Elite fleet contained an infection on Earth without destroy or ruining the planet.

That was proven to be hyperbole on Hood's part, on account of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the vast swathes of landscape seen in the final cutscene being unharmed.

OT: 40K wins easily if we are leaving out the super weapons from the equation. If it was all out warfare no-one would win as the Halo's would be activated as well as the necrons hidden planet weapon(forgot its name).

The Covenant are still able to glass massive areas of land. There are no Warhammer weapons that can act like glassing weapons.

I'm not sure if that's entirely sure, but they have low orbit ion cannons for orbital bombardments. They also have bombs which can destroy continents, and if the need arises, entire planets.

It's warhammer, why bother bombing the city when you can destroy the entire state?

That's how they deal with heresy and chaos anyway. Your boss tainted by chaos? That means you are as well.

Statement of ignorance....
But, either way even if Warhammer didn't, they have enough energy and heat based weapons to make short work of any flood infection.
