Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Perhaps only Mythic members can upload Avatars; or once an account reaches a certain level of trust.

Or even better: the occasional contests to earn a custom title :3

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

Pretty much what true underdog said. As well, it wouldn't go with the site's (carefully planned) color scheme

Well I do like the sites dark colour scheme, it looks better then the stark blinding white many forums and sites use, but I don't think it really needs to apply to avatars.

No way man, that's no fair! Everyone or nobody, except for the mods who already can. Maybe it could have a time limit say 14 days so that spammers couldn't make their accounts and begin their spamming spree with a meatspin avatar to match it.

But it definitely shouldn't be limited by rank.

It's not impossible to be a Mythic Member... it would reward those who have been apart of this community for 3+ years; when your time comes, you would get it. It encourages staying and gives the older members something to do.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I really don't like it when people use third-party "add-ons" as an answer for something that could be provided by the site itself.

Isn't that the point of having third-party add-ons? So that people could add features that aren't provided by the site?

I would love to see a place where I could upload a signature image. Just limit the size to prevent spamming. This way I could attach my Anniversary Recognition badge :P

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The 3 years was just a mean example of which many people get Mythic.

You mean another year?

I think the Mythic member idea is a good idea, and when you're banned it goes back to the default until your trust rating gets back up. Losing your mythic by just not being active or by other means wouldn't make you lose your avatar.

If it was based on title it should be a lower one then mythic, it's just to hard to get. I have lost my rank twice and I just think ranks are to unstable for that to be the system. It would be best if you just had to be a member for a set amount of time, a short amount though.

And you could be avatar banned if you used something illicit. And really, I don't think it would happen often, since it doesn't with coup.

You should have to be a member of Bungie.net for at least 1 year with a linked LIVE account for a custom avatar.

I think that would be pretty fair. With many other sites that I use, there is always a "report" option for custom avatars. So even if a person is able to upload a custom avatar, it it's deemed inappropriate they can still be banned for it.

That sounds about right. Linked accounts ensure that you aren't an alt or a spam account to. Good idea.

Although that it would be cool and all, after reading some of the previous posts, I have considering changing my idea.

Many of the spammers would have some pretty nasty pictures that nobody would really want to see and Bungie.net would not be the prettiest place, (at least on the public forums).

If there were, however, custom Avatars without having to use Coup, there should at least be a filter so that unwanted pictures would not be welcomed, but someone would still probably find a way to bypass that too.

I like the cleanness of having avatars you have to pick from. It's also a nice perk for the mods.

I think this could be another possible privilege.

It would make for an interesting Mythic privilege. As a privilege, it would encourage people to follow the rules.

I agree as a privilege, although not for mythics only, for people who try to follow the rules and are known not for breaking them, true some get banned due to carpet bans.

Though i believe it could work and make more users more friendly. Still believe that the community needs incentive like these to become more friendly, or follow rules.

It would be an okay idea, but it should be for earning a lower rank then mythic, and be non revokable. It should stay even if you lose the rank.
