Subject: Has this actually become the "Main" Forum?

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

The Flood may be most active, but if it becomes the "main forum" here, the face of our Bungie.net forums.... God help us all.

Interesting, dynamic, spontaneously intelligent, and devoid of mod/employee brown-nosing? Sounds good to me.

Realistically though, it wouldn't make sense for an off-topic forum to be the main forum for Bungie. I sincerely doubt anyone signs up on B.Net with the express intent of talking about anything not related to Bungie.

You sign up for B.net to discuss Bungie, but you get infected by the Flood.

Depends there are two types of crowd on Flood the more mature one and the well you know the types.
So being infected is not really a problem but it is if you hang with the wrong crowd.
Imagine if there was a second flood forum for more mature topics.

Some of the things I find on the Flood amaze me, frankly. In a positive way. It's sifting through the general garbage and sidestepping the flame wars that takes patience.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I think this forum is the most appropriate candidate for the "main forum" title, regardless of its activity.

Regardless of how active The Flood may become, it can never be the main because it exists to be a home for things that do not fit in the main.

The core doesn't need to be the most exciting thing for it to be the core.

If people like the playground of a schoolyard more than the classrooms, that doesn't mean the classroom is not the focus of the school.

"Dude, what are you doing right now?"
"Uhh... Heh, my mom."
"Dude... What?"

Most contribooters go here, but The Flood still has some uh, "vigor" left in it.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

I avoid the Flood as much as I can, but there is something to admire in the passion and sense of community over there.

Still, I like to come over to Bungie Community to revel in the fact that there's other intelligent people on the internet. It definitely helps.

The Flood is definitely the most active, but is it the, "Main Forum?"

  • 11.28.2011 12:45 AM PDT

ooga booga boooh

We all know The Flood is a great forum, no denying it. Definitely active, and some great topics have come out of there. It's way less serious than this forum, though.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

This was always the main forum, but not always the most popular forum.

To be honest, this forum got real weird for awhile.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

The Flood is the most active, and in my opinion better.
This is probably one of the most important forums though.

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

In terms of how it relates to Bungie, yes this is the most active forum for the "Community" or so it seems. Yet the most activity for discussion in general seems to quite obviously be The Flood.

OP- I concur. Real discussions take place here. The Reach forum is not the most fruitful place to be.

This is where the true members of the 7th Column reside.

  • 11.28.2011 7:20 PM PDT

Nope. The Flood gets far more traffic than here.

ATTENTION MODERATORS. My latest ban (14-day ban from Qbix89) is not legitimate, take a look for yourself. Please review this before considering me a "repeat offender". Thank you.
