Subject: What Happened To B-Net?

"What we've got here is a failure to communicate." - Luke

-RIP~B.B.

In and around the year 2008 this website was the place to be on the internet. I loved it and spent so much time on here and on Halo 3 now it is a ghost town.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

It may be because they are in between IP's.

Probably because Bungie has no recent games that still belong to them.

  • 11.28.2011 9:31 AM PDT

Bungie is dark at the moment, when they announce their next project then it'll be the busiest hive of gamers on this side of the nebula again!

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Websites thrive when games are released. There will always be quite spells. We are in a transition at the moment.

What's up with all the -blam!-ing negativity?
Stop it.

Well, there was this thing called Halo...

Then lots of other stuff happened, and now Halo's gone from here.

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

The Bandwagon left town with the game.

Look at it this way as soon as the new game comes out there will be increased activity, if they are involved in anything else activity may also increase.

Leon > HUNK > Wesker > Ada > Jill > Claire > Chris

It all started when the ACS module started to malfunction.

Bungie is in a transition of replacing their light bulb.

So dark...so empty.

Wait until the next project. It will be hopping here again.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

You just wait till next year. It'll be worse. This is our time to rest.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a ghost town. Bungie.net is still quite active, just not as much as before. The focus has shifted from talking about Halo to community affairs and off-topic nonsense.

It doesn't seem that bad to me, last time I was here it was worse.

The really good part of it? Is that if you are having fun while posting well and enjoying your time here, not only is your trust rating improving (and the title as a result), you begin to realize/understand that the REAL reward isn't a title or a colored banner. The real reward is that you're actually enjoying your time here and your interaction with other members of the community. -Recon Number 54

Bungie's gone dark... there isn't much for us to discuss.

This place was crazy when Reach came out. A day after it was switched to 343i everything settled.

They dropped a hugely popular IP and now they have no IP to their name, this was expected. Things should pick up when the new IP is announced.
