I see the cup half full do you?

Now.... it's been a long time since a ARG a few years. And I know that bungie does not own halo anymore but wouldn't it be fun. A full scale ARG for Halo 4. I didn't participate much in ilovebees or Iris but I would love too participate know. Just a thought. Just reminiscing.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

If there is going to be a halo 4 ARG (which i would love) it is going to start this summer or fall since halo 4 is out around xmas.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

Frankie pretty much confirms it here that they won't do another ARG. Very sad...

343 is not bungie, and may not invest their time in something like that, they may do something cheap like ads and create hype, and in the end release it.

It is sad, but i hope they think about it for future installments.

:)

I don't think so. Didn't Frankie say that they won't be doing one for H4? Something about them being outdated.

I don't see how it would get old, of course its been done before but hasnt live action been used, the same types of cg trailers. Of course its hard and some people wouldn't get it but overall i still think its a great and rewarding marketing strategy. I mean people went totally insane for ilovebees, and Iris too. Just the fact people are dedicated enought to try to decipher this is insane. It might be old but there are enough halo fans out there to make an arg not only worthwile for the players but for the developers too.

Frankie already confirmed that they'll never do another ARG since "everyone's already done them." They're no longer a surprising or special event.

What's an ARG?

What's an ARG?

ARG stands for alternate reality game. I'ts a marketing strategy used by game developers or other companies to get people to participate farther than buying the game and playing it. Its a fake story that players find stufff out about it and find clues. this usually leads to more information about the game and builds ALOT of hype.
