We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I am flabbergasted that you people do not understand that being a large part of being a scientist is curiosity.

That was utter BS what he was saying about Halsey, the Spartans and Insurrectionists. He made it out that Halsey created the Spartans because she wanted to and because of political disagreements between the UNSC and Innies, I guess he failed to mention all the acts of terrorism that the Innies committed, blowing up colonies and whatnot.

Yet the political dissent was the cause, the terrorism an effect and in it's own way a political act, speaking out to the UEG of that they weren't going to stand for this bull -blam!- anymore. She was therefore using the Spartans as a counter to politicians with assault rifles.

Organized terrorism is always based in political motivation. What Frank said is the bare-roots truth of it.

Signatures are for squares.

>I Love Bees is Canonical

That was by far the biggest revelation. Though I'm assuming only bits and pieces of it are Canon. The Spartan II Class II's, which were ONLY mentioned in I Love Bees, were missing completely from the Halo Encyclopedia, and the only Spartan II class II mentioned in I Love Bee's, Yasmine, was listed as a standard Spartan II in the Encyclopedia.

So while I Love Bee's is canon, Class II's are not.

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

If that's true, the Class-IIs anyway, then thank goodness.

However, they are going to have to explain Nicole-458 at some point since 343 have said she is based on a real Spartan and her birthdate is well past that of the first class of Spartan-IIs. Where she fits, nobody knows.

Frankie almost implied that the Spartan's names were changed as well as part of the indoctrination.

You were foolish for thinking we were done with them to start with since there is a 20 year gap in the war that can be filled.
we still know nearly nothing about the client races, economy, or how high charity was built. That line does not mean they will be in halo 4.

This (and THIS) was for Reach...and/or Harvest

Ah dear Franky, former bungie and all that, once again hoisting himself on his own petard I see.

I like this thread OP, good work.

I feel kind of... uncomfortable even considering mentioning Halo 4 talk here. That aside.

The story I think is going to be awesome, the novel tie in's and the like, but I feel it may be the only quality element of the much hypothesized game. Bungie's unrivaled quality I think will be notably absent, as in Anniversary.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Interesting video. I had never though of Halsey in that light before.

I fail to see how that's BS at all. I mean Mendez practically got Halsey to admit that the greatest reason as to why she created the Spartan Program was because of her (scientific) curiousity ie. because she wanted to, in glasslands, so what Frank said is just agreeing with the reasons implied in glasslands.

And in Glasslands the author rebuilt the characters of Halsey and Mendez...

  • 11.30.2011 7:07 AM PDT

Mendez was emotionless? Are you kidding? I haven't read Glasslands, but even in Fall of Reach we see more than one moment where the training takes its toll on him as well as the trainees.

  • 11.30.2011 1:30 PM PDT

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Frank says "We're not done with the Covenant yet". I think we may be seeing John's story being told parallel to another story from the perspective of the Arbiter, like in Halo 2.

well in that case, i hope the next trilogy and novel line will be a sort of history lesson, going in depth about the covenant's interesting past. I just can't wait to learn more about the covenant, 6 games, 6 novels, the visual guide, the encyclopedia, and the essential tales. . . 10 years of covenant was just was not enough for me.

3 games just was not enough for me.

6 games, 7 books, 4 comic series and an anime series of shorts was enough for me.
