Subject: So Reach is finally dead....

So i just first logged in after Nov. 9. Been all this time playing MW3 and Skyrim nonestop all this timE, CEA too, after playing those amazing games i got a glipse of what an actuaL ´´good game´´ is.

So i decided that today i decided test the 7 new maps from CEA on MM, adn i got a surprise, yet not very surprising glimpse at the player counter.
Less than 2000 players online, no playlists exceeds 100 players.
Halo 3 never reached that low even at its current state (probably has more than it now) i new CEA would not save it but it looks like it really DIDN'T do anything to stop the unevitable Reach's downfall, knowing how much it will take to find a game on BTB (the only fun playlist in Reach) i think i'll just go back to Skrim, killing Dragons itselfis way funner than this garbage.

Counters are broken. Derp.

But yeah, Reach still sucks.

It's a problem with the counter the day before yesterday it was in the hundred-thousands. They already announce that maintenance was going down today.

What are they doing then?

When the game is over, the king and pawn go into the same box

Maintenance. That's all we know.

Oh yeah, because when they are fixing something it has to be dead right? What are you 12 years old?

First: Learn English

Second: CEA just came out a few ago. What makes you think the player count is not broken?

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Counters are broken.

Unless I was able to play a full game when there were only 3 people in the playlist...

Few ago = few years, few months, few seconds, etk etk.

Only smart people would know what you're trying to say.

It was up to maybe 90000 yesterday night. Has it reached 100000 ever? Since CEA released?

I don't know. You just logged in a few minutes ago. How would you not think to make sure when something is that odd instead of jumping to idiotic conclusions that make you look silly when you insist on making them out loud to make a point... that isn't even valid?
:/

Games never die unless it's a multiplayer orientated game and that the multiplayer agent that supports that feature no longer provides it's service, or ceases the multiplayer component (matchmaking, leaderboards, servers and game hosting, etc).

Halo 2 is a dead game in terms of multiplayer.

Halo Reach will never die unless it does the Halo 2.

  • 11.29.2011 8:19 AM PDT

Reach sucks. Most agree with this viewpoint.

Don't get why everyone wants it to die though. There's constantly threads being made about how it's "dead" or how it doeesn't compete with the bigger titles. Umm...that's great and all, but who really cares? I mean, with Halo 4 on the horizon, you would think people would want players to be interested in the Halo franchise still, not wanting it to die off.

400k in 24hrs ... sad part is that the leading games have that many online in a single point in time ... and within a single playlist.

reach has fallen fast. Beginning of this month it was placed 8th in the online player count - even falling behind fifa (a sports title). In the last fortnight it has now fallen further and dropped below a second sports title (Madden NFL).

Is it dead ... guess you can still get a match so to some that counts. But its like watching a group of old man playing a spot of grid iron/rugby/football ... yeah its a game but not one most will stay to watch to the end.

Guess bungie knew best when they came up with the title "reach: falls 2010" ... even if they were a little premature with its sucessful failure.
Lol, yea. I really dont give a crap about the population. As long as I can search for a game and have it find everyone in 30 secs and have it start in less than 2 mins, its all good.

  • 11.29.2011 8:30 AM PDT

Best thing to do is try to play with groups of friends. Like with H3 it has become the only way to enjoy Reach without encountering the overabundance of seedy players.
