I use AR then a switch to pistol, just to let you know.

I used to use AR > pistol headshot but have recently found that at meduim range a quick spam with a full clip of the pistol then switch to AR works even quicker.

When enough people answer I'll tell My theory.

Cool, never thought of using secondary first then following with a spray of AR

None of those answers really fit. It depends highly on my current situation, what guns I have in my possession, and the distance away from my opponent I am.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Melee + Headshot weapon
Plasma Pistol + Headshot weapon
Sniper + Headshot weapon

Practically anything + headshot weapon

Most kills in the world with the Storm rifle in halo 4, the Plasma Repeater in halo reach, and the Plasma rifle in halo 3.
check out my youtube channel

Plasma repeater all the way

I want my elephant back.
Give it to me now!
(Please?)

Me.

lol

Preferred combo is Evade to Melle, then Evade back to take out Health with AR.

My theary is your melee, or fist is not faster than a bullet, but in halo that doesnt matter because you take multiple bullets unlike CoD. In halo, when you melee your guy resets by pulling back his fist and grabs the gun. This takes time. While the the other guy is doing this I keep shooting. In halo reach they added something from CE, or took away something from halo3. What they took away from halo 3 was the non-show off; im try to kill this person gameplay. Notice in reach how you do some fancy twirl with your pistol before getting your reticle aka aimer back. This adds additional time to that reset.... more time to shoot you while your flipping your weopon or tossing it back into your hands rather than just grabbing it. I keep shooting then finish them off with a melee, When he melees I've already put some bullets into him, so while he is reseting I knock his shields down, then a melee finishes the job. Shields recharge and its time to mop ip someone else.

I've never thought of switching between AR and pistol, I'm not sure if that's effective or not. I'm guessing that when you're using AR + Pistol you're in close/medium range with your opponent, and switching weapons during the fight would take too much time. Grenade + either weapon for me.

I switch weapons usually when I have sniper and DMR; body-shot with sniper then finish with DMR.

I generally kill with weapons, mostly precision weapons, unless they are close then I would melee.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Pistol only. Drop the AR first chance I get.

Boltshot = mini shotgun

Over a year ago, when I first got Halo 3, I used to AR+melee. Now, I'm found using the magnum or DMR/BR for (most of) my kills.
