Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

Group thingy is what the group button is for. Average Joes could be highlighted in another way to not draw so much attention, because you are just Average.

I personally see this sort of thing happening in the future, if my theory about each of these trademarks being Factions in Bungie's next game is correct. Doesn't seem too cluttered or ugly to me. Could be a lot of fun seeing who's chosen to be a part of what. Of course, the symbols and their respectives names could be something totally else altogether.

I expect posts to look totally different from how they are right now, but this gives an accurate representation of what I'm getting at nonetheless.

Also, I removed my Halo Reach emblem because I have a feeling most, if not all, ties to Halo will be gone by the time Destiny is released.

Something like that depending on your side in destiny. If speculation are true. Although i kind of disagree and believe some form of halo emblem etc will remain considering it was bungies game.

Although would like to see some marathon things added.

Or some user based games on the forums. What Deej has suggested in the other forum

Have any of you ever been in 343i's forums? I went in there the other day to see how they worked, as I had just made a profile in June because I felt I should, and many of their features I love.

The PM notification, the buddy list, and the additional formatting options, off of the top of my head, are great features I'd love to see implemented.
You don't need a PM notification system considering you could just look in the upper right of your page. Buddy lists are pointless without an IM system, which neither BNet nor Waypoint has. And what additional formatting? The lists (which I could train a monkey to make wi dashes and the enter button in less than five minutes) and the text colors (look atrocious and utterly pointless and unprofessional looking spam)? Both of those are so unfathomably useless as additions to BNet.

So, how is anything on Waypoint good, again?

OT: Average Joes would be cool if they let the guys and gals over at the Weekly Forum Update Thingy run it, considering they do something like that already.

I have to agree with you on how waypoint is a turnoff.
The background is not that nice, the reply system, looks ugly, pulled off microsoft word and pasted.
Over here it looks better, especially adding the codes for italic bold etc, makes it somehow more pleasing, for some reason. that is the reason why i feel like talking about the halo universe on this forum than that forum, still if i want to talk about the game i will go to that forum. Universe based this site until they tell me not to do it anymore.

Bring back Average Joes- Average Joes were great for a multitude of reasons. It let you get to know active members of the community better, or possibly introduce you to members that frequent different parts of bnet. It also gave members a chance to give shout-outs to their favorite private chapters, which is always good ;)

--Add a background to users posts who have had an Average Joe article posted about them.
--Quick example
--Add an option under profile to turn background on or off
--Have a page with a list of all Average Joes, with links to each article
I'd rather not.

Let's face it, the Average Joe was little more than a Bungie-sponsored popularity contest and I think the only reason that people want it back is so they can continue to have a shot at a brief moment of Internet fame. Your suggestions to complement the return of Average Joe articles only help underscore my point, as they're all a means to draw attention to oneself.

everybody listen to mac2po he is 100% right

Average Joes, Group spotlight, and quote/reply notifications are a plus.

I'd also really like a sent message box, just because that's a standard on many other forum sites.

Loose talk is noose talk.

The rebirth of the webcams. I think they haven't been updated since Bungie Day.

Oh yes, the webcams were awesome when updated regularly.

Meh, I don't really like the idea of a clan tag, but everything else seems good :)

EDIT: on second thought, I really like this idea:

Well that would certainly be a good job of eliminating the seemingly "Average" quality that the Joes have. I vote no.

Into what unimaginable realm of the human imagination must one venture to even consider this idea to be remotely productive and/or efficient?

But, what is that? What's the idea? I don't understand what that is... some sort of new avatar/post background?

Do you remember those symbols on Bungie employee shirts that had the Destiny logo on the right shoulder? Well, because some people have speculated their next game to be an (FPS)MMO, they have further speculated that these symbols (which were trademarked by Bungie along with the 'names' Future War Cult [FWC], Dea Orbit, Osiris, New Monarchy, and Seven Seraphs) are related to five "factions" in Destiny. Some think you'll be able pick your own.

That picture illustrates the public display of "five" people's faction choices.
