Subject: Map Environments

Halo has had some pretty original multiplayer maps throughout the series. Epilogue, Blackout, Ivory Tower, Damnation, Assembly and lots of other maps demonstrated how varied Halo's map locations and environments could be.

It's a joy to play on a map that is set in a truly new and unique place.
What environment would you set a map in if you could choose?

I would choose a massive factory with catwalks and maintenance tunnels. Heavy machinery would operate in the environment, smoke would rise from the heavy metal works and the arena would have a great industrial atmosphere.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

An ODST-esque setting, but in an hospital that had been overrun, and since then, abandoned.

The Streets of New Mombasa, from ODST. Include several sections of the city, with vehicles, several open buildings, and plenty of Forge items.

Sounds pretty awesome actually.

I like to think so. Those streets, plazas, and gates were big enough to accommodate tanks, so ground vehicles wouldn't be a problem, and there is plenty of open airspace for falcons and banshees.

A nice thick forest map would be nice. And not just like Valhalla, granted that was a nice map, but what we really need is the kind of thick forest you would see when you go hiking or mountain biking.

Only if the trees are forge items, cause map like that would be most playable by AR and shotgun fans, cause there is too much cover for snipers and DMRs to be truly effective. I wouldn't mind it too much, just raising a concern others would have.

Awesome. I bet some serious DMR and sniping shenanigans would ensue.

That's very true. It would just have to be fairly planned out so sightlines are just right. This combined with some sniper towers would make a decent remedy to the issue.

As above, it would just have to be very planned out. I was thinking some nice turret action, perhaps along with a few lanes for a hog. (Or not)
