I work for the Department of Defense.

I've signed up and gone through that stupid beta survey like, 6 times now. It always is like "HEY! YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS YET!".

Oh well, did it again! lol.

  • 11.29.2011 6:04 PM PDT

Nah, doesn't count.

  • 11.29.2011 6:05 PM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

Oh yeah, I did that survey a while ago.

Nah, doesn't count.

Yeah, not much there. At least it's getting stirred up again.

I feel like I'm going to be part of a science experiment and probed after reading it.

Though it does make a point, why did they take the survey and not do anything for so long, is this the beginning, as hinted by DeeJ, as being the trials.

I'm one of those storm chasers that will never have a TV show because I don't scream at clouds.

They'd better at least buy us dinner if there's going to be probing.

I play for fun and armory completion. :)

Do you think they even consider you for anything if you are under 18?

Probing? ... anyway...

Will they resend you the email (that we supposedly get if we're asked to help with the beta) if you change your email?

everybody listen to mac2po he is 100% right

It's obvious, the experiment is not what you do as a beta tester, but to see how many people sign up to be a beta tester...

Testception!

I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

As long as you validate your new email address after you have changed it you should be all good to receive emails at that address.

If it's a closed test, which it probably is, they may make you sign a Non Disclosure Agreement. Since it's a legal contract you would have to be 18 to sign it.

Also, what ever happened with those emails they sent out like a year ago? I'm still waiting for the probing and the mazes with cheese at the end.

I don't know, I got to be a full time tester for SWTOR when the NDA was still up and I'm only 17. So they might.

Also, what ever happened with those emails they sent out like a year ago? This is the same survey they had then that I already filled out. It's like they can't decide whether they actually want the lab rats.
I'd say that that was a sign of fantastic forward-planning. Remember that they opened up this Beta Survery when they had freshly released Reach, and were in control of it still, and therefore had a gigantic amount of traffic and attention, so they basically managed to gather a good amount of statistical information to use.

I think they're just reminding people about it now, in case they hadn't seen it previously, so they can really make sure they've got their full worth (and, of course, give opportunity to any new members who may have missed the memo in the first place). Also because it would seem they're kicking the Beta into action soon.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

I've done this survey quite some time ago.

I was seriously tempted to put these stickers on my lab door.

Yes. You just have to be 14 or older to sign up.

I hate you. Most betas sadly exclude people who work in the games industry, so I didn't get into the SWTOR beta. Of course, I was planning to go Sith anyway, so my hatred won't go to waste.

Man if you did make a puzzle game what would it look like.

Anyway will play SWTOR during the holidays, maybe.

Was that a question or an observation? Either way, you misunderstand me, kind sir. The Trials of which I spoke are the Community Ride Along events, in which you are invited to try and shoot me in the face. While Bungie is dark, and we are dark, I intend to keep the company of you fine people around the campfire.

Misunderstandings like this will get me in trouble with Dr. Honeydew, and earn me the privilege of testing his latest batch of exploding clothing.

I will make no hints about the The Beta. From time to time, I may help to wrangle a few of you into the assorted dangers of the lab, but that is the extent of my access.

In-game action and community purpose is the beat I walk.

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

Is the Beta focused mainly on U.S residents? Or will Canadians and other countries be given the same sort of opportunities that U.S residents might see in this program?
