just like how jorge died. those marines that survived had no ride so why didnt they stay behind since they were gonna die anyway and let jorge live.A Spartan never lets someone else - especially someone who isn't a Spartan - sacrifice themselves for them. Anyone remotely familiar with the Spartan mindset knows this.
I didn't know that and i want some examples to back that up seeing how halowars directly counters that.
You're using Halo Wars as evidence? I mean you can reference to it (it is canon afterall) but you can't really use individual events as proof. I mean there are a lot of mistakes made in it.
Nope. Spartans volunteer for the tough stuff. If there's something that needs doing but will result in death, and a lesser-trained marine volunteers, the Spartan would accept that volunteer. S/he knows that the Spartan will ultimately accomplish more, so s/he would be doing something counterproductive by staying behind.
Halo Wars, by having Forge stay behind instead, is a perfect example of this.
"I have a feeling that we're going to need all the spartans we can get."
i was talking about how Halo Wars isn't the most reliable evidence, I wasn't talking about the theory being correct or incorrect.
