Subject: What if Noble Six had escaped in the Pillar of Autumn?

i was talking about how Halo Wars isn't the most reliable evidence, I wasn't talking about the theory being correct or incorrect.

It isn't any worse or better than any other part of the franchise, it's reliable evidence.

Well now nothing is really reliable with 343 taking over. They've already made changes to what used to be solid fact. For example the fact that there was originally 12 Halo rings and some got destroyed.

What said there weren't originally 12?

He's right. While I didn't enjoy it(the campaign), Halo Wars is reliable, completely correct canon.

Now, Glasslands on the other hand...

Because the Prophet of Truth has never lied before right...right? As for Bungie, things do change. There being 12 Halos and then getting reduced to 7 doesn't hurt anything. The results are the same either way.

I know its completely canon, but it had some mistakes in it. That doesn't mean its canon, it just means that there was oversights. Like the whole Halo Reach vs Fall of Reach debate. It's a fictional story that is created by other people, so it's not all going to be perfect and mistakes will occur, especially when someone new writes something within the universe. Halo wars is an example of that.

Then don't say it's not a reliable source of evidence...not that hard to get.

But what happens when someone uses one of the mistakes as evidence?

You correct them with proper evidence? Besides, nothing from Halo Wars in this thread was quoted wrong. One of the Spartans was going to sacrifice themselves in the end, but Forge offered because he knew they were more important than him. It's the most logical decision.

And I never said anyone quoted it wrong. I said that it's not wise to use Halo Wars as your only source of evidence because it has mistakes in it.

You're using Halo Wars as evidence? I mean you can reference to it (it is canon afterall) but you can't really use individual events as proof. I mean there are a lot of mistakes made in it.

You say you can reference it, but that you can't use events in it as proof because it has a lot of mistakes. It's not like they make the events any less important or anything.

Well attack in the sense that you went after me first. Not that you're threatening me or hurting me in anyway.
And for what you're asking I gave my reason in the first post. The game has mistakes. I'm not saying he's wrong, I'm not saying its a terrible thought. I'm just saying there's better evidence to be used. You're just putting words in my mouth.

So because the games has mistakes, it's events that don't have said mistakes aren't acceptable evidence compared to something from the books or something?

Why are you fighting for the sake of fighting? Everytime I make a point you agree with it. Everytime I state my opinion, you agree with it. At this point I've gotten everything in check and have a solid point. You just keep trying to prove a point about I don't even know anymore. I'm done with this i'm fine with defending my viewpoints but not with pointless arguing.
