Warning!: Hitch-hikers may be escaped convicts.
Every time I play Two Betrayals in Halo: Anniversary, starting from the beginning of the level, I don't get any snowfall effects in the later parts of the level. I get them when you first walk outside from the control room, but almost everywhere else, there's nothing coming down, when there should be.
Snow is present when I'm on the bridges higher up in the canyons, but not the next time I'm on the ground, or the next time you get a banshee in the area with the tall "pillar" in the center.
If I quit and boot up my last save in these areas, I get the snow effects back, but in some areas it dissapears again. Every walkthrough of this mission I find online has no problems anywhere throughout the level. Although there was one video I saw done in split-screen coop where the bottom screen guy seemed to have this bug. The top screen was fine, and strangely, the bottom screen regained the snow after repeated deaths, but eventually lost it again. I'm playing on Heroic, with probably 10 or so deaths before these sections, so maybe dying has something to do with it...
This mission's outdoor areas look a little odd and quite bland without snowfall everywhere, and for me this is a problem. So please, if anyone else has encountered this bug, or has anything helpful to say on the matter, please let me know. Thanks.
