Always up for REACH customs!

As someone who likes to play both the new Anniversary playlists and the old playlists, I'm getting really thrown off by the different rules for basic Reach, TU Reach, and Anniversary.

Does the Magnum take 5, 4, or 3 shots to kill? Is my bloom 100%, 85%, or 0? How high am I going to jump, how fast am I going to fall, will my melee bleed through or not? Do the rockets spawn here or there? Can I break that Armor Lock with a grenade or not? Having to get out of "the zone" to think about it for a split second kills!

Basically, I wish they'd make all of Reach only TU and Anniversary, and keep each format in their own playlist so you could keep playing just one and not be forced by a vote to switch to the other.

In Anniversary Slayer, the Magnum is 3 shot. Anniversary classic does this gametype. The other anniversary playlists do Reach's gameplay, on the new maps. But they also include anniversary slayer. If you see Anniv. in the name of the mode you're playing, it's 3 shot magnum.

Agreed.

Bungie tried this, they created classic playlists and old school playlists trying to please everyone but they just added more clutter.

There shouldn't be 3 different rule sets for a game. It's a product of trying to please the community. They need to implement the TU and commit to it. Once they impliment it they need to make those rules carry over to slayer and ALL the gametypes.

If they don't, there's no telling where it will end. It'll be like, you you want to vote for

* Classic slayer 85% bloom, no fall damage, bleed through, gimped camo, double jump height and two scoops of sugar

or

* New Classic slayer with 87% bloom, double fall damage, no AL, double bleed through with low fat milk

i like the different types of playing to reach, tu, and anniversary. gives me varieties when i get bored one play list and move onto the other. i know the differences for each play list so to me its no big deal.

R.I.P. Halo 2 <33333333
Do not play halo much anymore. Barely ever come on here.

This is the reason I do not play a lot of the new anniversary playlists.

I still think that they should make the MLG playlist have 300% bloom for April fools.

Still, I do not mind the amount of gametypes.

Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

Ya true there are a tad too many gametypes. But to appeal to everyone it probably isn't much of a choice

give the real halo fans something to play that is actually halo.

Okay, lets take a look at CE, 10 years ago (you know, the roots of Halo everyone keeps begging for):

-Fewer maps, with fewer things on them.
-No armor customization, you could only pick you color.
-Fewer weapons to choose from, and certainly no BR.
-You didn't just have forge grey, there was green, brown, and blue too!
-No 1-50 rank, or any rank, for that matter.
-No matchmaking, play over LAN and System Link only.
-Fewer game types. Seriously, CE only had 5 to muck about with.

Yep, sounds good to me. I'm sure 95% of the community would love to play a game like this.

Well never minded the individuality. Otherwise I do agree with this 110%. That sir is Halo roots and the CEA is closest to it. I do miss the LAN though made multiplayer so much easier

I know, but after playing regular Reach for a year, 5-shot becomes base instinct. You can't have three competing sets of base instinct, one for Reach (5-shot), one for TU (4-shot), one for Anniversary (3-shot)...
