Sprint an excuse to make your player run slow and narrow the skill gap.


It's clear what the right choice is; faster base movement speed.


You do realize that default Reach movement is less than 2% slower than Halo 3 movement speed. 110% Reach movement is faster than any previous Halo.


I would rather have the choice of 110% AND 180% with Sprint rather than 120% all the time.
Yes, but H3 MLG speed was faster than default H3, so therefore it was a lot faster than default and MLG Reach.

In Halo 3 default you run 10% faster than Reach default.

So now that MLG gets 120% speed, it will be like Halo 3s MLG speed, which was 10% faster than Halo 3 default.

Really. Its for the best. Though I think maps like Oasis, Sanc, and Pit might need a tiny re-scale.

Yes, that's correct Apocalypse. But H3's kill times were usually longer than their minimum - whereas Reach's will be close to the minimum most times - especially with no sprint ZB.

I think I'm the same. I won't mind either - so long as it's ZB. I'll just have to adapt to a 4sk if it happens.


Halo 3's killtimes were extended partially because of spread though. Admittedly that was minimised by MLG using 110% damage to make the BR an 11 bullet kill as opposed to the default 12.

It's better to look at Halo 2 IMO because with hitscan it shares more similarities with Reach as far as the actual shooting goes.

4sk or 5sk?

Personally, I prefer 6. 4 and 5 with ZB are both too fast for my liking.

Still, it's a compromise that I have to pay. I don't get to have my own playlist.

In prefer increased speeds. The default speeds are too slow in Reach and that's one reason why its hard to avoid grenades coming your way.

Its a 5sk, sometimes 4. It depends. Since 343 did mess up on bleed through, which is random at this moment due to Health bars/shields.

4sk is terrible in Reach. MLG maps don't support it. 5sk works, but at the same time. People will still eat, shots will fail to count. It happens, but hell. It feels a lot better than vanilla Reach MLG.

I've found having 90% player damage with 125% damage resistance and 75% melee damage with zero bloom gives a nice consistent 6 shot. Because it's ZB the kill times are much faster than default Reach so the extra shot doesn't make much difference but it's not nearly as fast as H:CE kill times (don't forget - Reach has massive aim assist making kill times generally shorter)

With the DMR 6 shot ZB kill times are somewhat similar to H2/H3. Which to me is a good thing.
