There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

Bungie seems to be one of the only companies I know that goes to great lengths to hide and tease their games and keep us guessing on what they're doing.

Yes, other companies hide and tease games, but none seem to do so as much as Bungie.

Thoughts?

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I'm not 100% sure, since I don't work there, but I think that Bungie just enjoys hiding and teasing things. For example, look at how they treat your mother.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think selling "see you starside" stuff was a great tease and generated a lot of hype (at least for me).

I bought a "see you starside" Backpack, it is going to be cool when their game comes out.

Yeah, it can get annoying at times.

I love it when a developer teases, because it builds speculation. Speculation leads to discussions. I thoroughly enjoy a good discussion about games which are still in the works. They lose their mystery when you finally get your hands on them.

I am going to laugh so hard if their new game is completely unrelated and you have to justify your purchases as "I thought it would be cool when it came out."

Can you honestly say this? Do you always visit other developer's websites and are as active in them? I really think your view on this is biased.

LOL, I don't know what "see you starside" can be. Too late now, the Backpack is enruote to my house. Either way it is a sweet backpack.

I also want that Bungie MUG.

Yeah, Foman is speaking from experience.

See You Starside could refer to any number of space-related themes. Heck, it could simply be something to do with Aerospace.

However, I imagine it will be linked to whatever this so-called "Destiny" is all about. Imagine my disappointment when I found out it wasn't to do with Stargate Universe.

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

ROFL! ouch... Uncalled for man!

OT: Yes Bungie does seem to like to hide there new IP's. However that makes the wait more excruciating but the reveal much more exhilarating.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

They are teasing bastards most definitely.

Part of that is that Bungie only releases one game every three years. Many developers have multiple projects at the same time (BioWare, Ubisoft, etc.). In order to keep more people here they need to keep us interested, so they tease projects and give the site more of a community feel (Groups, community gamenights).

I was a finalist :P

I like to think of us as birds, and Bungie our owner. Bungie pulls out a seed and teases us by holding that seed out of our reach and moving in a forward and back motion, such that we get so close to getting some idea but we just fall short.
