Subject: Halo CEA terminals, what do they have to do with halo 4? easter eggs

I love Dr Pepper!

Look guys, I have a moderation notice!!! how exciting!

I have watched all the terminals even the 11th one and I hardly see anything that could possibley have to do with halo 4, othere than the one where that mysteriuos ship crashes on the Halo, but they didnt even show what speices that was.
And what up with the 11th terminal, was just hinting that the would remake halo 2 aswell?
Has any one found any cool easter eggs? I have only found a few aside from the skulls and terminals, I have found the Linda 058 easter egg and the wierd dolls with the new helmet on each of the new maps, did any one notice thats what master chief kicks off the edge on the silent cartographer level, and 343 guilty spark during fire fight.
So what have you found?

It revealed a big detail about Halo 4, the Prometheans (Forerunner Warriors) and the Didact will be against us.

Yep and if you haven't read the books you won't know much about the characters right?

I think it was more for those who understood more of the Halo universe to go "Halo -blam!-!" at and then when others who havent read the books find out what it means they will also go "Holy -blam!-!"

I have read all the books and i know all the characters, that said i am really hoping that the Timeless one will be the main enemy through out this new trilogy, also not that i am disagreeing with you but what makes you think the Didact is still alive, hes already "survived" one death what leads you to believe that he survived again, although it is a pretty awesome theory, and it wouldnt surprise me if they were.
and when in the terminals was it ever mentioned that they would be against us? it did say that he had another plan that, if succsesful, would have come at much less of a price.

Why didn't you just leave the exact same post that you had floating around the forums instead of creating two completely identical threads?

In my own personal experience this is the worst way to achieve feedback because in confusingly splits up those who would like to discuss it.

That being said, I don't think the Forerunners will be our enemies I think there is something unbenounced to us that Bungie created in the makings of Halo: 4 that we will be fighting against.

Let's face it theres been a long stall between Halo: 3 and Halo: 4 and that leaves them plenty of time to elaborate what 'ideas' Bungie had in mind.

Either way any game that has been atleast in minor development since late 2006, early 2007 and more than likely been in technical development since 2008.

Overall thats a game that will have been in the makings for the past 5 possibly 6 years, let's just say if Reach was a mis-step I don't they will have done all that for nothing.

:)

I'll repost this is your other thread just so people can hear my oppinion there as well.

In the videos they mention the forerunner's ancient enenmies. These enemies apparently have a cure for the flood. Possibly the new villains in the series? It would leave a lot of room creativity.

Like you said the forerunners ancient enemy had the cure to the flood but you may not know that they are also the ones who created the flood, it was the last surviving precursor called the prisoner by ancient humans or the Timeless one by the forerunners.

And although he is a bad guy is isnt without motive, his reasons for creating the flood was because the forerunners had betrayed there masters and teachers "the Precursors". Killing them all except one The timeless one, the forerunners themselves pretty much admit that they only did it because they could and no other reason than that. the timeless one decided since the forerunners had taken into there own hands to run the universe he would see how the forerunners ran they universe in chaos so he created the flood.

The Forerunners had locked him up in a precursor technology, Hence the name The Prisoner, and for a long time, centuries I would guess he stayed there as there prisoner but the flood ran loose throughout the galaxy and after years of fighting and coming up with several failed plans, the forerunners created 13 halos although 5 of them are destroyed by the flood and the 6th was taken over by the gravemind, "the same one from halo 3" the 6th halo ring was monitered by Mendicant Bias, he was captured by the gravemind and eventually forced into rampancy where he was tricked by the gravemind into firing his flood infested Halo ring which ultimatley caused the precursor technology holding the timless one prisoner to fail setting him free to cammnd the flood which lead to the final decision of firing the 7 remaining halos, after the forerunners disaperance it is unkown what happened to the timeless one but we can asume that he is alive somewhere in the universe.

On a side note it is mentioned that the precursors had the power to travel in the spaces between space, almost as if they could travel through slipspace with nothing more than there own body, it was also mentioned that one human also has this power, I cant remember his name but he is very similer to the master chief and they make a point of constantly comparing them.

sorry for the long story but i thought it might be interesting, also sorry if not all the info is 100% accurate but that was all based off my memory of the books and past forum topic from Industries7th private forums.
