Your opinion is invalid.

Anyone who uses a jet pack should be shocked with electricity through the controller as long as they hold the button down.

Well, I think that's a little extreme. And you know some people would get a kick out of that.

funny... A friend and I thought of a video game that had a dynamic and unique concept to it. it was all just theory crafting of course.

The idea was to create a very visceral game in which you were paired with difficult challenges that increased in difficulty if you were passing them with ease. The visceral unique experience made the game punish you for making a mistake. We designed an interactive controller that monitored the players life signs. This device would be strapped to your torso and for each mistake a very sharp blade (preferable kitchen knife size) would jab into your stomach. The kit did come with easy to use knife sharpening technology and a fail safe design that ensured a good clean stab wound every time.

Example was if it was a platformer title and you missed a jump and fell to your death? The knife would thrust at a medium pace going very deep. If you simply missed the timing of say jumping over logs while on stable ground? You were met with a very quick thrust and at a entrance of possibly your pinky finger.

Haha, noobs jetpacking into ceilings? I EMP'd some noob one time on Sword Base - He was low enough on health that as he jetpacked into the ceiling, his head managed to reach a velocity that was high enough to procure damage from the collision, resulting in the death of the noob.

It was brilliant, I never laughed so hard in my life.

The jet pack ceiling is that invisible wall that you hit that prevents you from going any higher even though you still have some "fuel" left. There is also a mechanic that prevents you from going any higher if you hit your head on something and you mange to move from under it. For some reason you stay at the same height instead of elevating.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Just feather the AA button and it's a non-issue.

Oh ... now I see. The jetpack also doesn't always go upwards. Maybe the ceiling is a good thing?

I have an off topic question. Could someone help explain to me what exactly is bloom?

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

I do, and I know how to extend that without landing. It's simply timing.

But I ain't telling any of you, as you will just abuse the hell out of it. It's the last damn thing I want to see on multiplayer.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Its called physics. Then again, they weren't really that great either.

Gravity is pulling you down. You can only go so high with one use of the jetpack. Eventually, you will start to stall and float down until you reach empty.

It's not a ceiling, the boost tapers out over time until you get little to no boost. Releasing the button, and clicking it again at the right time will allow you to continue to climb past your perceived ceiling, it's not that hard once you get the timing.

Why do you all hate jet pack so?
It completely ruins map control, and in my opinion ruins the way halo is meant to play.

Sounds like you're describing any given equipment/armor ability, armor lock and bubble shield the most.

Equipment? The -blam!- are you smoking. Equipment never broke map control and are not as retarded as AAs.

They do not have those in arena, which I believe is where the jetpack is abused the most. I also just played a game on beaver creek and everyone picked jetpack, like that level is NOT designed for jetpacks and just makes the game horrible imo.
