If it was really popular, than this thread wouldn't even exist.

its a 17+ game. on the back of the game box it says "game experience may change online" and at the age of 12 i know most boys are NOT going to say "eww, cooties" at pics on some fileshares.

I am seriously laughing out loud right now! WHERE'S MY SHOTGUN? haha Freaking comic gold.

I'm a lurker in sapphire and to be honest, I've never seen a more immature group on Bnet, I mean when you've got members comparing -blam!- size, come on!

Seriously Sapphire is probably one of the worst hellholes left on this site, not to mention that the admin, Harlow actually got threatened by a pony thread which accumulated over 20,000 in 3 days and decided to delete it and ban all the bronies, I'm not a fan of the show myself but still that seems like having a group for people to talk about things, but then ignoring the groups purpose and deleting things for the sake of you not liking them.

As for those saying its the flood only better, seriously? While the flood is nothing like what it was in its glory days, it still gives rise to some fairly good threads, all sapphire gives rise to is some teenagers..... well I'll leave that part unsaid.

It amazes me that people get so angry over Sapphire yet we have no idea who you are.

You've clearly never read about the Sears policy.

Your point being? Are you saying their claims against the group are illegitimate simply because you don't recognize them?

He remembers over a thousand members? Seems hard to believe.

@kashinfist: Between them, Harlow and the moderators know all the regulars and almost everyone who's posted even a couple of times. If they don't recognise someone, then that person has either never posted (in which case, yes, their criticisms are worthless) or that person has never made a single quality post (in which case, yes, their criticisms are worthless).

Not any more, he was just Sears'd. It's in the Sears thread, Harlow just updated it.

What amuses me is that this guy was referring to threads that made it very clear that he hadn't so much as lurked in months. Pony thing happened so long ago that even the bronies in the group are over it. This guy claims to be a lurker but I doubt he could name any thread made in the last couple of months, let alone the last couple of weeks.

Don't know why you'd stick around a group you don't like, but then, that's why we have the Sears policy.

You're right I haven't lurked in a while, hell I haven't even been on this site in a few months, but I digress, I do find it funny how I was a member of Sapphire earlier, and interestingly enough when I criticize the group openly I'm what did you call it "Sears'd?" right, yeah so freedom of opinion isn't that big in your group it seems, enough so to actually blacklist me? Not much of a loss to be honest. As for the Bronies being over it, they're over it because they've actually got their own group now, I know a few people in it, apparently they're doing quite well for themselves which is nice I guess.

Back to my main point though, its pretty obvious how Harlow likes to run Sapphire given the criticisms in this thread from non members (who might I add, do have a valid opinion especially when it comes to talking about reputation, its not the member's opinions I usually listen to when deciding to join a group, its those not in the group but who know of it and respect it that makes me usually want to join.) But hey, you like your group, which yet again is nice I guess, I realize that we're arguing on the internet, which is the equivalent of banging your head on a brick wall for all the good it will do, so I will simply sit back, and watch how this plays out. Have fun now.

So does this mean I can do the PM version of drunk dialing you when I'm lonely? Seriously though thanks, I already enjoy this group a lot so I'm planning on staying.

Oh god yes.
Er, I mean, yes sure. They certainly give an interesting look into a person ^.^;

I enjoy the group a lot, it is a lot of fun and very active.

I'd link you to the Sears policy thread, which is actually pinned, but you can't see it any more, seeing as you've been kicked. :3

Why do people never get this, if you talk shit about it, it's because you don't like the group, and if you don't like the group, then you definitely don't like being in it, so kicking you is just a push because you are being lazy enough to not click "Leave Group". It's not about freedom of speech, it's about liking the group or not, if you like it, stay and you shouldn't badmouth it, and if you don't like it, you will most likely badmouth it, so there's no reason for you to stay.

As for the Bronies being over it, they're over it because they've actually got their own group now, I know a few people in it, apparently they're doing quite well for themselves which is nice I guess.

Well they had their group for a long while, though the Pony group lost quality after hitting 100 members.

Back to my main point though, its pretty obvious how Harlow likes to run Sapphire given the criticisms in this thread from non members (who might I add, do have a valid opinion especially when it comes to talking about reputation, its not the member's opinions I usually listen to when deciding to join a group, its those not in the group but who know of it and respect it that makes me usually want to join.)

That's like saying that the only opinion that matters about a movie, are those of the people who haven't seen the movie... and that opinion will decide whether you will watch it or not. Like if you don't want to form your own opinion. Which by the waaaaaay, just like you can't form an opinion of a whole movie based on a few scenes, you can't form an opinon of a whole group based on lurking a few threads.

But hey, you like your group, which yet again is nice I guess, I realize that we're arguing on the internet, which is the equivalent of banging your head on a brick wall for all the good it will do, so I will simply sit back, and watch how this plays out. Have fun now.

You don't seem to be grasping the fact that the people complaining in this thread have little to no experience in the group. Frankly, it wouldn't be so active or so well known if a great multitude of people didn't like it.

Harlow, just because someone has not been in Sapphire does not mean that there opinion doesn't matter and when a member or old member criticizes a group and is then kicked that just shows bad leadership on your part people have a right to speak and they sure as hell have a right to criticize or complement anything they want so you need to stop ruining other peoples time on B.Net as its not doing you any favors oh and you are most certainly NOT the most successful group on Bungie.net so you just started a thread with a lie on the title.

  • 12.17.2011 6:55 PM PDT

It's okay I guess, nothing special. Being the most successful group wouldn't even be prestigious seeing as every group on this site is already mediocre.

Actually, it hasn't really changed. You can't criticize Death for not knowing much about Sapphire, then do it to another group.
