How does that make analogous sense...?

Who is the parent and why is it considered bad that the parent is changing the lightbulb?

We'd gladly change the lightbulb ourselves if we had the means.

The parents being the devs and it would be bad because A) There are already several means of playing the game how it's desired and B) There are already several playlists where desired settings are available.

Bungie changed up settings for MLG, Team Classic, and Arena for the complainers, and yet people just kept saying "B-b-but it's still not goooooood!"

All the "lolReach"tards do is endlessly say the game is bad, even when new settings are presented to them which fit what they wanted. They just complain because it's the cool thing to do with Reach.

Really? We have several playlists dedicated to zero bloom, no AAs, and faster movement, all with a 1-50 ranking system?

Bungie changed up settings for MLG, Team Classic, and Arena for the complainers, and yet people just kept saying "B-b-but it's still not goooooood!"

Because it wasn't.

All the "lolReach"tards do is endlessly say the game is bad, even when new settings are presented to them which fit what they wanted. They just complain because it's the cool thing to do with Reach.

Because the game actually is bad in it's current state, and has huge room and potential for improvement.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

MLG (No bloom as of today), Arena (ranks & limited AAs), Team Snipers (no bloom, no AAs), SWAT (no AAs), Anniversary lists (unnoticable bloom, no AAs in games which are voted to be as such, faster movement, faster kill times), etc. In addition to that, there are gamertags built around setting up customs to be exactly the settings people are looking for.

No, rankings don't exist in this game outside Arena, but so few people actually do play the one ranked list, that I don't think it honestly matters. If people really wanted a rank, they'd play Arena more.

Because it wasn't.

Except it was. Classic was limited bloom (NR spawns), faster movement, higher damage, classic maps. People still didn't care. MLG was added, people didn't care. Arena tweaked and retweaked, people didn't care.

Except it was never bad. That's why it's still around a year later. People like to use lower pop as proof, but CoD is the dominant game right now, which has immense bloom, dropped shots, over powered kill streaks, etc. Reach isn't bad, its time is simply up.

You can't count Snipers and SWAT in that list, dumbass.

So take out those two, and you're left with three playlists. MLG, which many people do not like the settings to AND isn't ranked, ONE ranked playlist that still has bloom and AAs and a terrible ranking system, and the brand new Anniversary playlist, which isn't ranked but at least has the settings right. So we have NO playlists that has all three qualities of having a good ranking system, no bloom, and no AAs.

Also, custom games are not Matchmaking games, which is what they want changed. You're pretty stupid.

MLG (No bloom as of today)

The only one.

Arena (ranks & limited AAs)

Jetpack breaks the game and is the worst AA in the game. Arena doesn't use 1-50 rank.

Team Snipers (no bloom, no AAs), SWAT (no AAs)

Crap playlists.

Anniversary lists (unnoticable bloom, no AAs in games which are voted to be as such, faster movement, faster kill times), etc.

You're an idiot.

In addition to that, there are gamertags built around setting up customs to be exactly the settings people are looking for.

We're not talking about customs.

No, rankings don't exist in this game outside Arena, but so few people actually do play the one ranked list, that I don't think it honestly matters. If people really wanted a rank, they'd play Arena more.

Arena's broken in every fashion.

Except it was. Classic was limited bloom (NR spawns), faster movement, higher damage, classic maps. People still didn't care.

Because the 'improvements' were half-assed and they ignored the stuff that actually mattered.

MLG was added, people didn't care. Arena tweaked and retweaked, people didn't care.

Arena was and is broken and worthless in every conceivable way.

Except it was never bad.

Yes it was.

That's why it's still around a year later.

I take it you think Bieber's a talented artist, too.

People like to use lower pop as proof, but CoD is the dominant game right now, which has immense bloom, dropped shots, over powered kill streaks, etc. Reach isn't bad, its time is simply up.

Reach is bad and still has way too many remnants of Shadowrun, CoD, and other crappy FPS games Bungie tried to emulate.

gg

The problem isn't ranks, dumbass. People have been finding ways to compare their e-peens since Reach's outset. Whether it be by KD, W/L, HaloCharts, HaloTracker, or winstreaks people find a way.

Whenever something gets fixed, people ignore the change and say something else is the huge problem of Reach. It used to be that AAs, movement speed, and damage sucked. Team Classic/MLG were made. Then it was bloom. Then the TU playlist was made, as were the anniversary playlists. Now it's rank. It doesn't matter what's fixed because some new vocal minority will always emerge. If rank IS added, then people will just say the system sucks and more people will leave because search times will become unbarable. Plus, the maps (or something else) will become the next "problem."

Also, any reason I can't count SWAT or Snipes? Both were RANKED playlists back in H3. People apparently do take them quite seriously.
