There are always going to be people who critisize those who are better than them. Searching with a full team, who wants to win, means that you are competitive. Losing is almost never fun. There is no need to search by yourself when you have friends who would also like to play.

Calling someone bad because they like to win and have fun makes no sense. Challenging someone to a 1v1 who has already beaten you is also a dumb request. Why do you expect someone to leave their friends to challenge, and most likely beat, you (a random).

If any of you face me in matchmaking then feel as if you need to face me in a 1v1, I will accept the challenge. I like hurting a persons pride when they think they are all high and mighty and need to prove themselves.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Don't mistunderstand.

I'd break a spawn trap by switching to AL. To at least give you a chance to survive the Banshee Flipper or the coward in the Tank. But lets all -blam!- about AL being in the game.

Breaking a spawn trap requires more than 1 person.
Unless that one person is lucky enough to sneak out and subsequently take out both the tank and the banshee by himself.
Sometimes you might fly under their radar and get lucky... most the time, you are not doing -blam!-!

And that's because, as far a spawn traps go....
It might take some skill to get into proper positions...
But once it's set up, It takes literally no effort from that point forward.
The game should literaly just end for as much effort your putting into holding the other team.

Like I said, you use all your skills just to turn the match into something where you could -blam!- to your mother while playing and still win.

-----

IF you had a child. God forbid you people ever breed.
And you were playing a game with him...
Would you show no mercy to him or make it appear that he has a chance?

Then why are you such a -blam!- to other people when they clearly are not capable of keeping up on your "super competitive" level.

If you trap the other team and it appears that they can't do a damn thing about it. They are on the verge of quitting. BACK THE -blam!- OFF! Be a good sport.

It is your fault if you consistently play in full parties who make a life out of this game. When you know 99% of the people you match are not on your level, are by themselves.

I think people who want to play in "FULL" parties should be limited to custom games against other full parties. Leave matchmaking.

That's where you full parties belong anyway.

First of all lets not confuse spawn trapping with holding the objective. Spawn trapping means you keep the enemy dead for as long as possible. In objective games this sets you up to win (most people will run the clock down after they get the lead, but that doesn't mean spawn killing by itself is bad).
Spawn trapping in Slayer games however just ends the game faster. In both cases I'd rather be spawn killed and have the game end quickly then have somebody let me pretend that I'm better than I am because that just leads to false confidence.

Finally, even searching in a full party doesn't prevent spawn killing. See this example from Squad Slayer (which always matches parties together).

If as the OP suggests everybody who searches in a party is bad why is there such a kill differential evidenced in that game? Id it really so hard for people to just accept that they lost because the other team (regardless of composition this is a team game and you win and lose as a team outside of FFA) was better than them?

Finally - parties don't really want to play such easy games all day. Confining them to customs does nothing if there aren't any other good parties that they know of playing at that time.

i lol'd. There's no such thing in a game consisting of shooting the other team.

Yes we do know that answer.

And ultimately, what you guys will turn Halo into.....

You can't play unless you have a full party.

If people want to play Solo, you'll limit them to the FFA only playlists.

-blam!- that.

We do play customs when we get bored of beating people such as yourself. Hardly anybody makes their living off playing this game. People just are competitive in nature. I try and succeed in whatever I do. Quite frankly, I still beat full teams when I search with my friends. It isn't about a persons skill level, it is about if they like to win. It is matchmakings fault for not having restrictions.

It may be players such as yourself who make the game boring and not fun. Have you ever thought that we do not find it that fun matching people who are no where near as skilled as us?

Yes there is. You just refuse to acknowledge it.

You could, get out of your tank and blow it up to give them a respawns worth of breathing room. Go in and get dirty with a shotgun instead...

You could, do the same to the banshee you've been flipping above them for the past 7 minutes straight.... etc.

There is alot you could do to dial it back when you're already sitting on 40-0 with your tank. Hell you could just run up to someone and let him kill you on purpose for all the good it will do to at least make the experience enjoyable for the other person... ffs.

These cases are extreme, but some of you push it to this extreme and then you come in here a -blam!- about people quitting on you and then get them banned over it. So -blam!- off.

You people are bad sports.

You people might want to try to attack me in some other way. Something that doesn't assume that I've been playing this game.

I pretty much quit this entire franchise when they made the quit ban. I did give it a chance though... Just to get booted because someone jumps in front of my vehicle. Or gets caught up in a rocket blast etc.

I gave it a chance.

And the quit ban told me that my time is better spent trolling the forum instead.

So in order to be a good sport we have to blow up our vehicles and give the other team map control?

I would be insulted if that happened to me. We don't need players pulling mercy cards. You win when you win and you lose when you lose. You shouldn't have to 'dial down' your offensive just because the other team is losing. I understand if you were playing LAN or with friends or something, but against random players the only thing that matters is who wins. I'm not about to drop or waste my sniper ammo so the other team can walk to my base freely and shoot us. Might as well turn around and bend over.

Yes, the only thing that matter is who wins.

So...in my case. If I had just gone 40-0 spamming a spawn with a tank all game. I'm going to get out and start trying to get close and personal. Possibly give them a chance to get a kill on me. IF I end the game going 40-20 instead because of it. So what. WE WON! And I still more than wiped the floor with em.

What would you do? Continue to sit in your tank masterbating to your mother. while you spam tank shells at the spawn.

There is a difference between me and you.

I know when to show a little mercy. And this is when I'm playing as a random on a random team.

You're in a team against randoms, and still would never even consider it.

lol in a video game? Against randoms? Only time you should ever show mercy is LAN or playing against friends.

  • 12.02.2011 11:42 AM PDT

you are using too extreme of an example. I will play dumb, like you always do, if we are winning by a comfortable amount. If i am on a perfection, I am not going to ruin it just to make another person feel accomplished by getting a single kill.

^. I'm not gonna get out of my tank to let the enemy kill me. I'll get out of my tank to let a teammate go get his kills too.

As soon as you give your opponent a break in your defense, that's when they rush the bomb to your base and score to tie the game.

I share this account with my brother and friend.
If you got destroyed, it was me.
If you had a decent challenge, it was my bro.
If you observed said account struggling to aim, shoot, or move separately, it was my friend.

I don't remember ever seeing this much cryharding when I played H2 and we stomped each other back and forth in objective Coag hour after hour. Reach brought so many -blam!-y people who can't take a loss.
