I'm really good at forging on Halo Reach, i make race maps the most. I don't really put them on my file share, just because of haters will hate.

Anyway, you can call me Zachory, or Zack, both names i'm cool with. I don't forum that much, only if i need help or just a little bored.Well my fingers kinda hurt now so talk to you later.

Reppin' Team Silverback

I think they should make the Elite customize-able kinda like the spartans. And you won't have to use credits to buy armor, you just get it as you rank up!

You can have fellow Spartans, and still have 'Chief the main man.

This. If you guys seriously can't follow Chief's story AND some minor side stories of other miscellaneous characters, there's something wrong. I don't know what 343 is planning but I feel that they'll almost need to add different characters into this game in order to better develop Chief as a character. Seriously, it's a pretty basic philosophy of storytelling. We'll need these other characters to help better highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the Chief. Also, I really like stories that introduce different characters with varying personalities, it helps the plot from becoming stale.

This. They killed alot of characters in halo 3 so since its a new trilogy they need to introduce some likable people that they can expand the plot with or have some dramatic deaths with in the 5th and 6th games. This is just me but i would love for buck to become the new Johnson-Complete badass and chiefs partner.

If the forerunners are going to be involved I am sure they are going to interact with the chief. And from the primordium summary it is inferred that chakas will have a role also. You are shallow for thinking that it only takes human characters to develop a human.

Can somebody explain to me how johnson is a "Badass"? I feel like people only make him out to be a badass because he is some old black guy that has a personality. The most "Badass" thing johnson has done in the trilogy was drive the scarab. Other than that he hasn't done anything. Same For buck.

Again, call me an ass but I think anybody who claims johnson or buck as "Badass" must be a child.

Well he was part of the orion project (Spartan I), Flood can't take him down thanks to his Boren's syndrome, participated in the first meeting with the covenant, Helped coordinate a small defense on harvest to evacuate most of the populace, and continued to fight up to halo 1 where we first meet him in the games. But yes i see where your coming from he does not do too much in game but i suspect thats only to make chief look a bit cooler since he's the one who sort of "does it all".

I really do hope there will be some forerunner characters or ancient humans/Chakas to help expand the story but i mean at this point the forerunner books are not finished so we have no clue if any of them survive to be in halo 4. I'm kinda suspecting Didact only cause of a few of the CE terminals which hinted at him, or precursers.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

Him being immune to the flood was fixed in the graphic novel.
I am just saying since majority of the people do not read the books they have no reason to think he is "Badass" from a gameplay perspective.

And the forerunners relocated elsewhere in the galaxy.

Johnson is 100% a badass in Contact Harvest. I mean, he fights terrorists, fights aliens, trains a militia, and even gets laid in the end (and some other stuff in between those things).

The same thing normal people do. Though i commend you both for reading the books

Nerd

I always thought Johnson was a badass. I don't know if that was his intended personality by the writers but he just has this strong and determined attitude that just makes me happy that he's on my side in battle. I never really read any of the books but I've looked up a lot of stuff on the Halo wiki. The fact that he was there for the beginning and the end of the war just really amazed me, making him even more of a badass in my view.

What if the SPARTAN-IV's are the characters you control in multiplayer?

Just rewrite some of the cannon and add more Spartan IIs.

When crap like that starts being done is when Halo becomes call of duty.

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Adding more Spartan-IIs would ruin the canon more.

You know what would be awesome.

If some Forerunners or some of their automated machines/AIs upgrade Master Chief's Mark VI armor.

I look at the book like history books. It is not what happened but a story told by the winners. So I take all the books the same way. It might not have gone down just that way. In the game you see it as if you are there doing it. So you know the truth.

Just my take and why things being a little different doesnt bother me.

There are still SIIs and SIIIs left and I doubt they'll be involved so I don't think SIVs will be involved.

Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

I've generally taken the liberty of fixing the Spartan-II success rate problem by assuming that ONI took some of the "wash-outs"; i.e. some of the wash outs were in fact successful, but ONI listed them as wash-outs.

It's not an ideal solution to the problem but it works.

More spartans in the game would take away from chief,so no.
This is assuming all new Spartans have to be major (or even minor) characters rather than soldier grunts (in regards to story.) These S-IVs could have a similar relationship to Master Chief as the ODST jetpack squad was to Noble Six in Reach. (Slightly more unique than a Marine but not much.)

In which i have said several times would need to be explained, which would take away from the chief.
Then everybody is going to complain about their lack of character and how they aren't "Spartan IV enough".

Our big green style, cannot be defeated!
-Sgt. A.J. Johnson - Halo 2 - Metropolis

There's no such thing, & if they make a book to back up their story, I won't read or believe it. I go by & stick with the original.

So I've only so much as read the first chapter of glasslands and from this forum I can piece together:

-ONI has a god ship.

-People hate Halsey for no god damn reason.

-Elites are still -blam!-s.

-There's a IV class of Spartans despite the Spartan IIIs being relatively new.

-ONI wants another catastrophic war with the Elites.

-Halsey has a diamond jaw.

-And humanity is opening a luxury support on Installation 03.

Sounds like Traviss is raping the crap out of Halo canon.

Well then...... I have yet to read the book
