Just play a bit... You'll develop your aim and get better with all the weapons. Understand that Halo is not a run-and-gun game. Good players play defensively...
I prefer the sniper, and then a mid-range headshot weapon, mainly the DMR, or the pistol if playing the TU Beta or Anniversary playlists... Those are great for just sitting back and picking up kills at longer ranges, granted many times you need to win those battles for yourself.
But also, learn how to use grenades and melee in unison with your weapon, particularly headshot weapons. Land a frag at an opponent's feet... Boom, headshot, done. If someone gets close to you, either try and have a shotgun, depending on your surroundings, or 'melee attack, headshot.' Very effective.
Always try and have a mid-range headshot weapon on your tho. They work really well in most/all situations.
Develop your situational/map awareness. Try and know where your enemy is at all times, and do your best to out-play them.
