Subject: Is Halo (Doesnt Matter which, but Focus Reach) A bit hard for you?

HU4L- Hollywood Undead 4 Life!

Was Halo, Or Which ever one,Hard for you. When you first started or still?

Should We try to convince the next Makers to make less of A learning curve for the next Halo?

I know about the Whole changing your Controller settings and stuff, But before you change it. Like if your going from Halo 3 to Halo Reach, the Buttons are Mixed up.

So tell me what do you think? Do you Like the learning curve? Or Do you NOT want a learning curve?

Reach isn't that hard for me.
but yesterday in an Aniversery slayer game, I had to concentrate alot, first Halo match in some time, a game mode I haven't played in a while, I was playing COD for a while, so it was different and I was trying to talk to 3 people at the same time. D=

Not really THAT hard, but the only time it is hard is when there are people around your skill set or higher to play against in multiplayer.

HU4L- Hollywood Undead 4 Life!

I see What everyone means. COD Is a Bit easy yes, Halo is harder to play.

But what if Halo didn't have the shields? Or something like that?
It would be more annoying wouldn't it? I like how Halo is, It could change a bit here and there. But overall Its pretty good.

Hey, uh, if you like vs threads, then check out this little group right here, if you have the time. It's pretty fun, just hop right in.

Campaign is only a challenge for me on Legendary.

MatchMaking isn't hard per se, given that everybody has equal amounts of health, shielding, speed, all that, but I'm pretty bad, so yeah.

LOL

Halo: Reach is the most casual and least skillful Halo title so far and I hope to God that it's the most casual Halo title that gets made. Coincidentally (or not), it's also the worst and least popular.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Reach was the only one that was hard for me when I first started it, bit that's because it was vastly different form Halo 3.

I was bad at H3 when I first started, making less of a learning curve though is the worst thing you could possibly do to this game.

  • 12.03.2011 10:50 AM PDT

Halo in general was difficult to me when I started it. When I first played CE many many years ago I could NOT find my way around anywhere. The game gave me massive headaches and I just gave up after the second level.

A couple years later in like 2005ish I picked up Halo 2 and from there I started liking the franchise again. Reach was a piece of cake to me though, when compared to the other games. Having the game be a bit more difficult would be fine with me, but as long as it's still something a casual gamer can pick up.

  • 12.03.2011 10:52 AM PDT

It was designed to be like that. People buy the game get annoyed by the buttons and so keep playing until they are farliy good(ish)

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Posted by: Sentox6
Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

Reach is extremely easy. That is all.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I would prefer the learning curve to be increased in the next Halo game.

I struggled greatly with Halo when I first started playing, but I liked the learning curve and skill gap. Their existence made me want to keep playing to game in order to improve.

Removing or reducing the learning curve and the skill gap just makes games more boring in my opinion.

Halo 2 was the first online game I ever played, so that was kind of tough learning how people played online. The idea of knowing where weapons spawned on the maps, strafing, grenade placement etc were all very alien to me at the time.

But thanks to the ranking system and the incentive to win, I became very determined to learn these things and to get as good as I could. I can't imagine the same would be true if Reach had been my first Halo game.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

Reach is too easy. Halo 3 was much more difficult than this game in order to learn how to play it.

The learning curve is called Campaign. Play at your own pace and take all the time you need to familiarize yourself with the game, the AI will pretty much just wait around for you.

  • 12.03.2011 12:36 PM PDT

I think a learning curve harder than Reach's, but not as bad as CE's (Library on legendary left me crying lol) would be great.

  • 12.03.2011 1:29 PM PDT

Halo PC had the largest skill gap of the series.

Definitely... although we probably won't see the likes of the pistol again.

  • 12.03.2011 1:46 PM PDT

If you're talking campain then no, this one was easy as -blam!-. Make it harder. As for the learning curve, keep it in the game, it adds to the fresh feel of a new game.

Multiplayer, ya it was and still is some what difficult for me. But i guess thats cus i like CoD controls better. By far more interactive and realistic in terms of feel.
