Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

As a PC gamer (not talking about myself), which one of these two Halo games would you rather see be ported to the PC if you could choose only one? Do you think one game would benefit more than the other on the PC? And since Halo 3 does not use Hitscan weapons and Reach does, is that something that plays a factor in your mind when comparing online play potential between both games?

Of course, the chances of either of these games coming to your PC is slim to none, but it is still fun to talk about. Please post your opinion below!

It's tricky for me as i'd rather have both if they're ported correctly, with enhanced features and proper mod tools. We need to see a Halo PC/Custom Edition in any future Halo games that come to PC...but for the sake of cannon, my vote would be Halo 3.

Meh, if I had to choose just one, Halo 3.

For modding purposes, Reach. Much more powerful engine that would be better in the long run.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Voted Reach, because it doesn't pretend to take skill as much as H3 pretends to, but they're both practically the same game. Reach felt a lot like an expansion pack for H3. You could easily bundle them up as one game.

I thought Reach was your favourite? Yep, it's a question and a statement; a quatement or station if you will. Portmanteaus are fun.

I got from one to the other in liking them more. The aiming on Halo: Reach is a lot better. The dead zone on the right thumb stick is not a square like the rest of the Halos so it makes it a much smoother experience... I have no idea why I'm the only one that seems to notice it...

In fact I'm already thinking I want Reach more. I think it has massive potential with some modding. Well, then again every game has potential with modding. (PC <3)

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

With the bang up job Microsoft Gaming Studios did on H2v, I'm going to say neither, don't care, there are better games available.

This almost exactly. However, I didn't think Reach felt like an expansion pack. I thought it felt like a cheap spin-off with some new stuff to make it look cool.

Ironicaly, I felt the same way about Halo 2...

Never really got the vibe that Halo: Reach and Halo 3 were similar in any way. Halo 2 feels more like Halo 3 than Halo: Reach does.

New Marathon? Thanks Bungie!

Reach for PC could have some intriguing firefight mods

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

IMO reach flops, even the anniversary map pack didn't do it much good so bringing it to PC will be another waste.
HALO 3 would have been good on PC

If your buying it for a HD campaign and achievements then ok. For multiplayer, modding, PC features, proper dedicated servers to name a few, don't waste your money. Honestly, Hired Gun slipped up big time with H2V, it had potential.

Granted, I don't mind the game as much as many others here (purely for a 10 minute online game a week or so) but you gotta clear the first obstacle, will your PC actually run it? And if so, do you intend to do any of the above?

That's the number of bans in this thread. Next time you want to derail something, go stand in front of a train.

Definitely Halo 3, absolutely love that game and I know many others who thin the same of it over Reach.

Only yesterday were some friends and I playing a campaign level of Halo 3, first thing we said? So much better than Halo Reach.
