....

I would love it if we can get alerts through our Bungie apps when we are relpied to (quoted) in a thread, and a Bungie.net specific friends list.

Those are two things I believe would really help the community stay in contact with each other.

Probably already been said, but mobile forums (possibly through the Bungie mobile app).

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

Please just give me a quote notifier!!!!

  • 12.04.2011 7:18 AM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I could have missed it in the thread, but I'd like to see the ability to quote multiple posts without having to use my browser tabs.

1. Ability to change you username once
2. Be notified when someone quotes your post
3. Ability to search for the most active groups

20. Ability to change your WLID on a bungie.net account.
One can do this through live.com. I did it, but I'm not going to give a tutorial. You can though, so good luck kenny.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Ability to change your username after your account has remained active for 2 years. You can only do this once, and will never be able to do it again.

I agree, Dragons would really improve this site. Put some over here and there and i'll be happy.

Update the profanity filter.

There was a really good thread on this earlier. Achronos posted in it with a reasonable explanation, something along the lines of "We'd have to undo ancient code"... If you guys can find it, throw it in here.

It would be nice to be able to search groups by activity.

That would be cool. It would make easier to view the site on cellphones.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Be able to change your name.

Add a section called Bungie Arcade where you can play old Bungie games like GNOP! alone or with a friend.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Most of their old games are free but they need an emulator to work on newer machines and operating systems.

Have it so you can view what private group's you've applied to join and cancel them if you want since they take up a slot.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

Isn't this more of a petition than a effort? What is anyone here doing beyond proposing ideas? And I'm pretty sure petitions are frowned upon.

I suppose it would be different if each way to "improve" Bungie.net was given discussion to why it would actually be a a good idea to implement such a feature..which has already been done, since most of these ideas have already been discussed by both the community and Bungie staff.

  • 12.04.2011 5:18 PM PDT

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I think the primary reason that petitions are outlawed are to avoid "sign here for _____" threads, rather than threads which are somewhat bleakly constructive, such as this one.

I am in favor of a usb attached favorably-delayed-slap-button. It would be similar to the Staples Easy Button in form and operation and would somehow make my life easier by slapping whoever my particular target is, in the face and favorably delayed of course, as to utilize the element of surprise to further emphasize the error in their ways.

I'm a reasonable Bungie.net forum goer, though. I would only use this on occasions in which the level of horrific bastardization of the characters of the western alphabet is so intense that such foulness merits relinquishment from existence.

Of course the foulness would be removed, but not entirely. There shall remain a monument to the sins of the offender with a plaque stating in the blood of the offender;
"Moderator Notice: This user has been blacklisted from this forum. Until the user is removed from the blacklist, all posts this user has made have been hidden, and all topics created by this user have been censored."

But then I'm sure if this were practical it'd be in use by now...

Note to self: Preview button exists for a reason...

Not at all. Yes we are proposing ideas for the webteam to look at as possibilities, but we're also discussing the ideas throughout this thread. Petitions are more like "sign here if you want this!" kind of threads.

This thread is more of a "Hey webteam! You want some feedback on what we like and what we want changed about Bnet? Here ya go!"

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Okay, I'm really strict on i.e vs. e.g, I'm sorry, but it irks me when people use i.e instead of e.g.

e.g and i.e are Latin. e.g stands for 'exemplum gratia', meaning "free example" or "for example".

i.e stands for 'id est', or "that is", which today means, "that is to say". A lot of people make the i.e mistake, I did too before. But really, it's just something that irks me.

Back on to topic, I'd like to see music players in groups, you know, songs that people can add. There will be a playlist in all pages of private groups (or pop ups) and players will have the option to disable or stop the music.

That doesn't remove the content though. And [bad] content removal is a moderator's job. If we hide it for ourselves, its still viewable by everyone else who hasn't "hidden" it.thus resulting in the problem still existing. If there were more moderators, then there would be more [bad] content REMOVAL, thus nullifying and voiding the need to hide it for ourselves exclusively, and not the community at large.
1) It removes the content for you. You get to dictate what you want to see, and what you don't.

2) Other users will hide it as well if they take offense to it. This could be used in conjunction/integrated with a report feature (ie. a post becomes hidden enough and it gets dropped into a queue to be looked at).

3) "More moderators" are very unlikely to give people the instant gratification they want from hitting the report button because of a number of reasons: the "lag-time" between the report taking place and a moderator assessing it; the moderator not agreeing with the report; etc...
