PLAY MY FORGE MAPS!

Maps completed so far:
SKY SQUARE

When I first played Halo 3 I'd repeatedly drilled through the campaign until I'd completed it on legendary. It was short and the story line was disappointingly weak compared to the heavy plot in Halo CE and Halo 2.

It seemed to me that rather than making the game continue with a heavy story they just dumbed it down and filled it with constant action to entertain simple minded people. It reminded me of a corny action movie that had loads of fighting scenes and fake explosions in it to make it look cool. I would of preferred if it continued with a heavy plot and left me on the edge of my seat like I was whilst playing through Halo 2.

Seeing The Arbiter being branded with the mark of shame at the beginning of Halo 2 left me jaw dropped, staring in awe. After seeing the cliff hanger ending I literally went "Noooo!". The story was outstanding. In Halo 3 however, all they did was stretch out the fact you had to find Cortana and send you out to kill the covenant here, then they'd send you to kill some more shizz there, and scattered throughout the action packed levels there were weird messages from Cortana which didn't make any sense at all to the plot whatsoever.

I thought the twist ended with Guilty Spark #343 was pitiful. What a terrible way to ruin a story. It was one of those "and then the good guy suddenly turned on everybody" stories. It was terrible. I finished the game disappointed. It was too easy, too short and lacked the ending I had hoped for.

Playing custom games on split screen was great, spent dozens of hours doing that. But the online play was questionable. I live in Britain and our internet speeds have a reputation globally for being worse than cancer. After spending six weeks in America I learnt that the game was so much easier online over there. I beat American freinds who had a skill rank of 50 with ease, In Britain however I still struggle, I regularly get BR'd out. After doing a little research I found that I wasn't the only one who had this problem. It was never patched. Brits will always be worse off because of bullet lag.

If any of you Brits reading have ever dome'd somebody with a BR and then somehow they manage to punch you before their body hits the floor you'll know what I mean.

I also rage like crazy when he double reload glitch happens. A glitch that has been happening since 2007, still not patched.

So yeah, that's why I don't like Halo 3.
Disagree? Tell me why. If you response is stupid I'm just going to mock you.

"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

Well, obviously I can't disagree with your opinion, but I can certainly disagree with the concrete statements you made. I agree that the campaign story made no sense whatsoever, but I was also very pleased with the awesome set pieces and enemy AI. The weapon and equipment variety spiced up the gameplay so much, I think Bungie wanted to showcase the most interesting combat yet. But in general, I agree that the storyline was bad, but it just didn't mar the experience for me as much as it did for you. However, I completely disagree with your complaints of connection. THat's just because you live where internet sucks, and Halo is a connection-demanding game. That's not any fault of Halo, though I agree that it must be annoying to have bad internet. Also, if what you say about your connection is true, it will suck with all multiplayer games, not just Halo. Lastly, yes the double reload is annoying. I don't see the point of raging though, it's not that aggravating. However, I'm not telling you to start liking Halo 3, you can think whatever you want. I'm just sharing my opinion.
