Subject: Quick question on spam posts / troll posts

Hi.

I've seen many a post with "arrow in/to the knee", "xbox.com" or "in the pooper" as the only/main contents, be it to troll or to try to be funny or otherwise. Thing is, if anything is done about it, it is usually invisible, so other than obvious blacklists I can't tell if there's anything being done about it. My question here is this: Will this kind of spam posting be, if it isn't already, considered as spam posts as far as a Ninja's definition goes, and are they warnable offenses?

Not trying to feed everyone that's posted those, I simply don't respond to them. I'm just wondering if there's anything that will be done about them, or if they're all just something that will blow over and are nothing worth worrying over - in which case, I'll simply sit back and ignore it completely, as I should have been doing anyway.

It is pretty much spam.

You should have just PM'd one of them to ask whether they would act against it, though.

I probably should have, but I forgot that was an option. Oops. :\ Well, I figure I have a bigger response pool this way, at least.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Memes and the like are considered spam, just report it. If it warrants a look at then it will be reviewed. And yes, if you really feel that it needs the immediate attention of a mod, just PM one.

If posts like that were really a problem, we'd be seeing a lot of them popping up in the queue, but there simply isn't any at all. My bet is on people not bothering to report something so insignificant.

Time to organize a group to make this issue more significant so that all can truly see how it is a blight on the community!

took an arrow to the knee is fine I would think.

The other two you mentioned are just spa.m and you should report them.

I don't see the problem with it.

I used to post spam posts, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
