Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

Gah. The old site. I joined during the Nav bar era on a different account. That was rough.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

Yeah.

Since the release of Reach, the community has degraded.

It seems no one liked the Navbar. I know I loved the navbar.

Positive vibes.

Maybe because it says you joined in 2009...?

I'm a old school user
I seriously find that hard to believe.

OT: No. It's fine.

How is this, I just like the old stuff on bungie.net not the new.
Well I liked the old names of the forums, lots of us do old, and new users.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I do miss the ODST background and the Avalanche background, but that's about it in terms on design.

Users should really read the note. On topic. The odst background I don't remember what year was that?

Meh. It wasn't that different. The only thing I can think of is putting your join date below your avatar, like they did in the old days.

I liked the old forums better, because of things like that. I don't to much like the title system. I guess if bungie.net was still 1.0 now, instead of changing in 08 or 09 this site would be much more fun.

Loose talk is noose talk.

Nope. I was here, off and on since '04 (didn't make a profile 'till '07). And from what I saw, I would rather have this website over ye olde website any day.

Halo 2 era was great for nostalgia, but it was too noisy. Graphics everywhere.

The Halo 3 era version of the site was good, but I love the decisions and tweaks they made to it that put us where we are today.

This site's quite flat, simple and gradient-filled. It also loads pretty quickly.

Not to mention we don't have to escape the eye of evil 343 staring at us no matter where we go.

I still have some saved html (I think) files, of Bungie from 1998 - 2002. Some screen grabs below.

1998
2000
2002 (Halo Bungie)
2002
2005 (Html is broken

I really digged the 00 and 02 look back then.

EDITED: The 1998 one was 2002 but I changed it now.

Dang it has changed O_O.

Halo 2 was okay, but Halo 3 was the best era so far in my opinion.
