Subject: Quick halo 1&2 question

Hey guys okay I forgot 2 minor things in the Halo universe tha have been bugging me. Halo 1: how come when 343 said this ring can destroy everything within 250000 light years how come chief didn't let him? Couldn't they have worked to together to evacuate the humans? Or is 25000 light years beyond our range. Or was it becuase he wanted to do it right then and there. And was it that piticular ring that could only wipe out 25000 light years? Or can other halo rings do more or less.

Halo 1 CEA: at the end of the credits you see 343 fly out of the halo ring. So what does that mean?

Halo 2: forgot what level but it's a cutscene when arbiter is getting his armor when the prophets talk about the other arbiters in that room was it a grave sight of the pass ones or are they in cyro sleep?

Thanks guys.

The Halo rings synchronise with each other, combining to create a blast radius which encompasses most, if not all of the galaxy -- you can't escape that unless you go outside the galaxy. Seeing 343 fly out from the Halo ring means... he's flying out from the Halo ring, Darth Vader style. That's why he's in Halo 2.

Those Arbiters are dead, that's why it's called a Mausoleum.

Arbiters are expected to die fulfilling their duties. Those pods contained the bodies of Arbiters past.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Personally, I'm very sceptical about this. Look at Ripa 'Moramee (Arbiter from Halo Wars), he was thrown from the Apex, I don't think it at all likely that his body was able to be recovered. There's also the BS about the armour, that "one size fits all" for every Arbiter, which is also bollocks because Ripa was 8'1" whilst Thel was 7'10" - a pretty substantial difference there, Thel would definitely not fit into it.

I reckon it's all another fad by Truth, it's not like someone is going to go and look in any of the stasis pods to check if the Arbiters are in there because it'd probably be seen as heresy, the Prophets just BS'd their way into convincing the Covenant that they have the bodies of the Arbiters.
