Subject: Awarded cR capping out at 60.

I started playing reach before I got on xbox live. when I did connect, it took all but 600 of my cR, (I had 116,000) and knocked me back down to sergeant (I was a warrant officer grade 2.) now when I play any type of game, my awarded cR caps out at 60 (for games where I would usually make 750-1100 cR). Now the only way I can earn money is by completing challenges. (I'm not allowed to have Xbox LIVE gold, so I can't do any matchmaking-related challenges.) has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this? PLEASE HELP!

Remember Elk

So, you can't get any commendation creds in campaign any more and will only get for time put into the game?

Well, then you should probably get gold and go into MM and FF for a couple of thousand creds every game.

I think your trying to say that you no longer get the same amounts of cr for playing the levels or doing the things you used to do..?
Thats because you have taken your account online. Sorry but bungie made it so that regardless of rank to make it fair you lose a certain amount of cr gained offline.
This is because it is far easier to rank up offline. So yes you would have got thousands of cr for playing a single campaign mission but now you have taken your account online that will no longer be the case.
I feel sorry for you, only thing you can thank is that you werent a higher rank as I have heard from offline inheritors this has happened to as well.
The only way now to earn large amounts of credits is to get xboxlive gold. Get your parents to set up a family setting account if they have concerns that way they know you are safer.
Or just make a new account and next time dont take it online.

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

I do not think you can rank down unless you get reset.

He cannot have been reset because he has played offline..This is what happens when you take an offline account online. Im sorry but it is fact. Feel free to post on 343s website halowaypoint or email bungie if you dont believe me.

Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

Me thinks you need the Xbox live. You won't get anything offline

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

When you play completely offline (Xbox has never been online ever) the Cr never caps out. The first time you get online it knocks you down to sergeant to prevent the loop-hole.

Now your custom games is maxed out at 60cR.

Play MM, you get more cR

RIP Logan ~B.B.

Too bad there isn't an option to go back to an offline account. Online accounts and offline accounts earn credits differently. Once you switch over to an online account, you can only earn credits (well, you can earn some offline, but they are tiny amounts) in online game modes. If you are not able to use an XBL Gold account, you are probably better off starting over with an offline account if the goal is armory completion.

I've thought about that, but I REALLY wanted to stay with my gamertag :( didn't want to have to switch between two profiles just to play a different game.

1: When you go online for the first time on an offline account you get downgraded to sergeant grade two, this is because it's a lot easier to earn cR on a solely offline account than bring it online and be a high rank.

2: When you play on an online account offline you can only earn a certain amount per game depending on your rank, it's just how it is so people don't boost their accounts offline.
