I have a YouTube channel and to me it seems like in general their isn't a strong enough effort from the video game makers and YouTube to join together to make posting gameplay, maybe even linking accounts that easy.

I wouldn't mind integration between YouTube and games as far as having theater modes allow game clips to be directly uploaded.

However, that might kill the capture card business, and that's not nice...

BTW: Flood is better for this :)

That actually would kill it, not might.

I assume then that you have not played the last few offerings of Call Of Duty? Black Ops and MW3 both have direct capture/post ability with your youtube linked account. A nice additional feature with those is that if you are in the video, you are automatically tagged in it. You can just easily search youtube for your gamertag, and see any videos you appear in.

You can be sure that Bungie will continue to innovate and bring new exciting features we didn't know we couldn't live without. I wouldn't count on Bungie going the youtube route though. I seem to remember them making a fairly hefty financial commitment to hosting and rendering the clips we wanted to share, as well as the screen shots we took. This allows them to control, moderate, edit, and own all the content stored on its servers. Throwing everything on youtube would give up those rights, and make Bungie less awesome.

Bungie.net should provide a way of linking your Bungie.net account to a YouTube account.

That opens up a whole range of possibilities here.

What's up with all the -blam!-ing negativity?
Stop it.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

People like the group, Media Cows, do reviews and game play stuff.

They get ~$2,000 from the producer per month, or so I have heard.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Call of Duty has made a noble effort, however only allowing their users to upload 30 second clips is less than optimal. I think it is, however, the first step that is needed to create better and easier gameplay sharing tools that will appear in the next couple years.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Why would you bump this thread?

Bungie posts vids on youtube.

Well Black Ops and MW3 offer players the ability to link their YouTube channel with their CoD Elite card. However, the main reason is its not very easy (or cheap) to do. Besides, people who play on PC have no need for this.

I agree, for some reason it seems like for the longest time, YouTube has made it much harder for YouTube gamers to get the publicity and gratification they deserve.

Hmm...I like this idea.

Being able to embed a Youtube video into a post would be sweet.

How do you manage to misspell "a perk for the employees because it would look unprofessional and unorganized in every way if the power was given to general users" as s-w-e-e-t?

Not even close, Duardo.

You two aren't helping your cause.

OT: I'd think this would be a neat feature for sharing game clips.
