I remember before the game came out i was thinking to myself and talking to my friends like "are you guys ready for another 3years of halo customs like we did in Halo 3" and it never really happend, we had a few nights but we had all left school and started college (i'm english so college is not the same as in the US) and everyone kind of ran out of time including myself and also i felt even with all the recommended map things it was harder to find proper good mades maps as the recommendations where crap and i prefer'd it when i could look through the map forum in which people had detailed pics and info about there maps and i could download them from there which let me pick out the good ones from the crap.
I guess it's maybe because we where all older as well, we wasn't 14-16 but 17-18 when Reach released and i guess people got more interested in the mid-core (COD) games rather than the kinda cartoony casual game (Halo) (not saying Halo isn't a good game because it is). Halo Reach was a brilliant game, loved the campaign and completed it twice (on heroic and legendary solo) in the first 5 days of release and got to a really high rank but the real draw to it was playing with friends as most of the time i had played the game it was about 90% with atleast one friend playing with me and with no one really on xbox anymore its just not as appealing to me as it once was, i guess i miss the days of just being at school not having to worry about major things in my life (GCSE'S aren't all that big as people make them out to be and as they expire in 4years they are more about just getting you into college than anything else) and being home by 3:30pm you had all the time in the world to play with mates and because you wasn't able to go out at night because you wasn't at legal age to actually do anything and with school being in the morning you would just stay in and play games with your mates.
Games are brilliant and i love them and hopfully will be apart of the industry one day but it's playing with friends that is what make the games life turn from 5-10hours to 100+hours like it was for me in Halo 3.
That's my opinion on things to do with games and it's cool if you read it and have an opinion of your own to speak. PS: I did go outside during the weekend but it was during the week where you couldn't really do anything because of school. PSS: Also WoW was a big part of my life with my friends always in a party together and when that died for me is when most of my mates started to not play it and then it got boring proving again thats its all about playing with friends.
Thanks for reading xD
