Lost in translation

Proceed to A
Kill B
Activate C
Kill more B
Reactivate C
Proceed to D
Kill more B
Mission over

And in some missions you would actually also have to Proceed back to A after location B or C.

Awful.

I kinda liked the campaign.

The only part I liked was the beginning of long night of solace. The rest was more or less boring or frustrating gameplay-wise.

and the story was whack. I much preferred ODST

I kinda do find it boring......... after having played through it roughly 40 times. I liked it when it first came out though. Pillar of Autumn is still one of my favorite Halo levels.

Call me Stu

The campaign didn't take part in any big open battles unlike halo 3 which made it much more enjoyable as well as the strong storyline.

  • 12.07.2011 8:07 AM PDT

yea it needed more epic massive battles or something...playing with 3 other friends on legendary was fun but then eh...

I did like ODST better, though.

You just explained Halo ce, 2, 3, odst as well. Were those extremely boring to you?

  • 12.07.2011 8:39 AM PDT

Linear to a fault, which would be fine if a great story compensated for it, but it doesn't.

just looking to have fun, message me if you want to play

i wasnt big on it. I had played the other campaigns alot more than i did this one. I really have no desire to even play the campaign on this one. not even campaign challenges get me into campaign (well rarely some do)

Halo 3: ReV Eskimo

eventually ill be back on Reach and CEA. i enjoy gaming for fun, im a great player and i enjoy smoking while i play. so any chill players feel free to add me. I in NO way support halocharts; old username.

most war games are like that......but i do wish there was a actual storyline. it was as boring as COD as far as the storyline goes. it did need some massive battles for sure. yeah, i guess overall it didnt even come close to the previous titles.

I enjoyed the Reach campaign exceedingly, first time. I didn't replay it as much as I would have liked to but it was a worthwhile experience for a time.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Hated it. What's worse is that there was no actual plot until the end of The Package when you have to deliver the Cortana fragment to the Autumn - and that was a BS way of shoehorning in Halsey, Cortana, keyes and some Forerunner bollocks we're told nothing about. Then there's the sterile, archetypal, one-dimensional characters...

H: CE - Amazing.
Halo 2 - Revolutionary.
Halo 3 - Decent.
Halo Reach- An epic fail of monumental proportions.

imo the campaign was boring, also the music was lacking

Indeed. The rest of the game was just gunning down Covenant on farms, backtracking through military bases and blowing up a Covenant ship just because they were there. There was no relevance to the plot because there simply wasn't one until we got into that cavern with the stupid "latchkey artefact" which was supposedly a game-changer that we learned nothing about. :/

it's funny cause in-game halsey basically said the same thing you did. Nothing we did prior to the package mattered at all.

I swear that she's the only forward-thinking person in the game. She only appears twice, but she manages to identify Carter as a shyte leader for letting the Zealots escape (he tells Emile to sit on the porch instead of chase after the Elite with the information about the "latchkey" thingy) and that the loss of their team mates ultimately means nothing unless they do as she says.

I like her... :P

Lol

ODST campaign was better in my opinion. Halo CE does top all of them though.

Look at your description. You basically described most campaigns in any game even outside of halo. So instead of saying "go to A, kill B, go back to A, reactivate C" actually give us details in why it was boring.

In Halo ce
Go to point A
Kill enemies on the way
Go to point B
Kill enemies on the way
Activate C
Go back to Point B
mission over
yay so much fun..

See how that worked?
