Subject: Try Xbox.com

I'm awesome...No seriously I am.

I realy dont mind if someone posts stuff like that. its only when it really gets overused in one thread and it just gets annoying when I am really tempted to press that Report button.

This is Bungie.net, no fun is allowed here. You've been here long enough to know that.

I've seen the mods join in the xbox.com frenzy. I think it's funny to be honest. Plus, I really hate when people complain about spam. To me, spam is just linking advertisements everywhere. You shouldn't ban people for having a little bit of fun.

Yes, yes I know. Bungie is no democracy. I'm just trying to stay phresh like all of the new, younger users but I guess I should just accept the fact that a fun-filled Bungie.net is only a child's fantasy.

Have you tried Xbox.com.au? :o

On topic. It's not that much of a problem. Sure, it happens, but not everyone does it.

Loose talk is noose talk.

From what I've seen, it depends on the circumstance. On any given day, you might see a hot topic in the Flood about taking an arrow to the knee, with moderator participation and acceptance. The next day, someone asks something about xbox.com, and all of a sudden, the Flood Forum becomes a nuclear wasteland*. My advice is to play it safe, and use the report button if you really feel that it's violating the rules.

*Exaggerations, of course.

Hello, I am *****. I am a very active Bungie.net member and If you do not understand or need help with something with Bungie.net you can message me. I will reply with a correct and accuate answer. Welcome to the Seventh Column Army.

I think it's just because the Moderators don't pay attention enough in the Flood forum, it gets really annoying at times.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

If someone suggests a legitimate website where you will most likely get an answer to your question, I don't think that's a bannable offense. If someone quotes that user, and lies about it being a harmful website and to try the same website, then I do believe that should be a bannable offense. If you think someone is breaking the forum rules, just report them or send a moderator a PM.

I find it really annoying when people have a problem and someone posts "try xbox.com" and then someone posts a irrating response. I understand that not all spam can be dealt with. But if we can deal with most of it, it won't happen.
It also wouldn't happen as much if people didn't feed it as much positive / negative attention. I personally think it's a waste of time on the moderator's behalf to try to get rid of it every time they see it when it hasn't even been reported enough to be sent to the report queue.

It's not malicious the vast majority of times, so why bother giving it attention when you could just ignore it? If it's really becoming a problem, then more people will report it.
