You may be special but that doesn't mean you're useful

[Edit] This will be my last edit to the OP:

Thanks guys, while I understand that my original opinion may not have been a very popular one, and from some perspectives may be con-strewed as flat out lunacy.

I can say that replies from normal members, heroics, legendarys, Mythics, Ninjas, DeeJ, Achronos and all of those in between have changed my opinion in which the way I viewed title in relation to post quality.

I can now see that I was wrong, members should not be defined on what colour their title bar is, but by the actual content of their post. Each member regardless of status should be considered in his or her own right to be an individual with constructive feedback and should be respected until they do something wrong (of which there is always a chance to atone for).

I've learned a lot from this community over the years and I shouldn't have been so quick to judge and generalise based off my own opinion.

All I can say is that I am sorry if I have offended anyone with the content of this thread, it was not my intention to.

Love, DansWorld360

While it isn't always the case, I see what you mean. It probably is because the higher a title a user has, the longer they have gone without being banned.

Meh... that's a pretty unfair generalization and stereotype. I've seen shenanigans from all manner of title and prefix.

I think Exalted Legendarys tend to have the best things to say. Mythics get lazy because there's nowhere to go after you reach the top.

Yeah. This.

I usually don't have much to say, as someone else has usually said it before hand...

I refuted your point by demonstration.

Title is a sign that the account has met the criteria for that title. Nothing more, nothing less. If someone wants to try to leverage it into a measure of personality, intelligence, civility, or any other trait, they may be somewhat successful, but not enough to be really useful or relevant.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

Well, theoretically, isn't that what a title bar is for? I never got the whole spiel where people said "title bars don't mean anything, Mythics can post dumb -blam!- too", because not really, otherwise they'd be banned and thus wouldn't be Mythics.

While I see your point, ODST above me took the reply straight out of my mouth.

Generally to reach the pre-determined criteria, you need to incur little to no bans which would prove that your posts are relevant and informative in any thread you post in (hence why most higher members are usually more polite and contribute more to the discussion).

You will notice how I didn't include Ninja's in my OP, because you guys are so far off the scale we have no idea what you're going to post when you do.

This is all my opinion though, so obviously I don't expect everyone or even anyone to agree with it.

Just felt like talking about something different for a change, because these forums are a little dull. :/

I hope that this is a well-disguised joke. I've seen some of those "stereotypes" exhibited in Mythics more often than regular Members.

EDIT: WAT. Did you just explicitly state that bans are relevant to a user's post value? I like to think that I am rather helpful, and that I tend to participate actively in discussion, and I've been banned 15 times. I don't think bans matter, necessarily.

Post of the year right here.

It's generally the opposite, with Mythic's posting crap tier posts, personally the best and most helpful users are the Legendary Members as they have experience but they've yet to reach senility.
