Being a member with some history (account creation in 2008) would sway your view here a little bit, wouldn't it?

Everyone was new at some point. Given that fact, does that mean that everybody is an idiot? To put it another way - if this was 2008, and you just created your account, how would you like it if everyone from 2004 dismissed you as a moron simply because you were new? Even if you happened to be an actual moron, it would be unfair, since you wouldn't have said anything to show that you were yet. And if you weren't an actual moron, it would be even more unfair!

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Member title is irrelevant, maturity and intelligence is based on a user-to-user basis. It varies with each person. Granted, most newer members are of a younger audience and may not yet know any better, but the point still stands.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I joined in 2009, people still call me stupid.

This is actually kind of true with me. I made lots of stupid posts when I was new. Now, each one of my posts is nothing but pure genius.

No. Most members, (not all) post a lot of pointless crap in The Flood. I myself, (along with many other members) post with purpose, which are usually regulars here.

I love how your post is filled with such passion and zeal, and the first response is a resounding "No". Haha.

The funny thing is, I was treated like a moron in 2008.

Mainly because the things that I posted were moronic, and upon reflection I don't know why I said them (kind of like my thoughts on why I even bothered creating this thread).

I've clearly touched on a subject that a lot of different people have a lot of different views on.

I guess at least one thing that I can take from this thread is that generalisations are really not an educated way to go about voicing an opinion.

I think your point would be a good way to end the discussion which has been... educational.

We're all morons for devoting time to a video game forum. And for some reason, I am alright with that.

I love that this thread seems sooooo trollish. It's almost like the title competes with the content.

OT: I would say that there's definitely a positive correlation between prefix and quality.

A elder bluebar can be just as immature as a first-day scrub account.

OP is just stating his observations, which I agree almost completely with. One could make a lot of racist or stereotypical analogies, but you should all know what I mean. For every yin, there's a yang, for every observation there is a contradiction.

Glory and fame, blood is our name!
Souls full of thunder, hearts of steel!
Killers of men, a warrior's friend!
Sworn to avenge our fallen brothers!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die.
Open Valhalla's door!
Let the battle begin, with swords in the wind! Hail Gods of War!

That happened to me but then the next day I ranked back up to heroic as I was before.

Once you get a rank it should be permanent though. It takes a whole freaking year to rank up and you can get completely reset to zero instantly in a single moment.
