I understand your concern, and I return your disgust in full. However, what do you want Bungie to do about it? I absolutely assure you that the Web Team has been trying to solve this for a while. Hence, no [IMG] tags except for Employees that have Community-orientated jobs, no custom avatars, etc.

Please, try not to be so ignorant. If you can propose a working solution, I will ensure that someone hears it.

Alright; you seem like you have the potential to engage in this intelligent argument. Keep it civil, and try to be optimistic.

somebody points out your obviously flawed and outrageous system

you defend it wholeheartedly despite a factual point based argument proving that it is inherently flawed.

complacent? yeah complacent.

Why is the system flawed? I would like to hear the problem you have with it. What seems to be the conflict? What is it you do not like, exactly?

what i dont like is the fact that i have to second guess every link on a childrens video game website because it may or may not haunt my dreams. what i dont like is seeing the same people creating alts day after day to repost the same shock links.

Incoming perma. You just don't get it. They try their -blam!- best. They really do.

when it is constantly used to provide shock links - and you know what the problem is - yet you refuse to do anything about it - AND go so far as to defend the system in place - you have become complacent with no regard for the good name of your company or your colleagues.

That will still make everything you listed possible; it will only hinder it slightly. Even then, it would reduce the quality of the experience genuine new users would have.

They've gotta pick: fans, or trolls.

As stated before, account creation on this website is linked to Windows Live ID, therefore the 'ease' of account creation is tied to Microsoft Windows Live System, the same system used for xbox live, hotmail, etc... Furthermore, pornographic content is not hosted on bungie.net, therefore the liability is pretty much the same as google or virtually any non-pornographic website.
