Subject: Suspicious happenings amongst these forums.

Quit -blam!- stalking me you weirdo.

Alot of threads keep having the OP as the second post (Example)

What is this? For now, I am blaming Stosh.

I have absolutely no idea. Sorry. Someone on here will know, however.

Try turning your scripts off, ninety percent sure that is the source of your error.

  • 12.07.2011 8:17 PM PDT

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Probably just a hiccup; nothings perfect. Turning coup off would help tremendously however, took a while to understand what you were talking about.

Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

Why did you make this thread? I don't get it.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

When ninjas move threads, sometimes the system hiccups and moves the OP and posts around.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

Was this moved? It also occasionally happens when a server is out of sync I believe. Since the forums run on more than one server.

  • 12.07.2011 8:29 PM PDT

Yep. The feature's broken; that's why it's hardly ever used. I talked to bobcast about it a while ago... He said they never use it, but it's been used quite a lot recently.

EDIT: Apparently, it happens more than 'sometimes'. I'll see if I can find the PM in a sec.

Ah, found them 23 pages back, lol.

Move, however is broken right now. When I move a thread it causes all kinds of post anchor issues, and it essentially scrambles the order of the post within the thread.

Posted by: bobcast
Before it was broken, [it was] rarely [used]. Only if had some very good discussion potential. That was totally the moderator's call.

Now, never. It is broken.

I guess they've just stopped caring.

I remember seeing that thread in particular being moved yesterday.

Yeah, I don't know. ^It used to never be used, I guess, but I'm seeing it happen more and more often. It's kind of annoying, to be honest.

There will always be a bug of some sort when dealing with user created scripts. Another reason why I dont use coup :)

  • 12.07.2011 8:51 PM PDT

Oh, no, this isn't about Coup. It's talking about how the posts get rearranged when threads are moved; the OP was asking why they were all janked up, and it was because they were moved.

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

It's a bug! Just like you.

Bobcast: the only ninja to operate an ER out of his mom's basement

It can be one of 4 things,

1) Time changes, like fall back and spring forward have been known to screw things up like that.

2) The Move tool has done that before.

3) You have a corrupted file on your local system that needs to be deleted.

4) Something new I don't know about.

Wasn't the move tool broken not too long ago?
Posted by: bobcast

Still broken. Example a: thread with that cocky dude in it. It fixed itself, though, or Achronos or something arranged the post order manually.

Lol, funny bug.

  • 12.07.2011 10:29 PM PDT

Achronos chalked it up to slight time differences between the servers at one point...but most likely an OP and his alt.

  • 12.07.2011 10:38 PM PDT

Maybe Achronos is experimenting...

If not, I blame stosh.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Strange disappearances, words appearing out of nowhere, posts being out of order. Suspicious happenings alright. Kinda spooky.

  • 12.07.2011 10:42 PM PDT

i c u thar c' ing my signiture

Yours in _Kai_

The only logical explanation is...

To be honest though, It has to do with a hick-up in the post clock due to one or more of the factors Bobcast has listed.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I think the only explanation is that bungie.net was built on an Indian graveyard.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

That is pretty funny, a mod moved it but I don't know why I became a fake OP.

I thought it might just be userscripts being on, but I'm on Chrome, and Nope, definitely happening.

Personally, I think it's the frequency of Ken's posts. he's literally inb4OP.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

OP's post: "How did the word "complete" get hyper linked? I did not do this is there a bug on this site?"

I don't see "complete" anywhere in the thread. This could suggest that the OP has been lost.
