So its 11:18, I'm on the computer checking emails, notifications, just taking care of business, when I get this familiar yet distant feeling. It shocked me at first, and the familiar urge that I had gotten so fond of feeling for almost 5 years crept back slowly...I'd forgotten it, but as the urge slowly grew...and grew...and grew...I typed these words into my search bar.
"bungie.net"
Its been awhile since I last visited this this place, and when I checked the forums I saw an all too familar sight, a thread titled "Halo Reach Legendary Ending Revealed!!!"
nothing has changed.
I enjoyed reading the comments, the insults, the familiar "puts on flamesuit",the famous "cool story bro" and lets not forget, "TROLLER!"
It reminded me of the good days, the days where I wasted my life commenting on stupid threads as if anything I said was important. The days where I didn't have to worry about school, work, or life in general. The days where I thought I was special for being a 45 in lone wolves, the days where I betrayed teammate after teammate just to here the rants...
Its a beautiful thing the gaming community, but bungie has always had something special that no other gaming community can claim. They have...us.
There's something that makes a halo player special, and we've all got it. Its that feeling you get when you see someone with a halo shirt on and you give him an approving nod, and he nods back. Its that feeling you get when you run over a squirrel and hear the all too familiar words "splatter spree".
Its something you cannot explain, but its the feeling that brought me back to the bungie community, and all I can hear is this, "welcome home bus...welcome home"
