Subject: Help Me With a Project

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

It depends on what you can do. I don't really know what to suggest since I don't know what you're good at doing.

What kind of projects?

  • 12.08.2011 5:00 PM PDT

Meh. I can write, I guess. Just anything that pops into your head.

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

Some sort of soffish scavenger hunt?

Maybe a Chuck Close style collage of a bunch of bungie/community related pictures that form a soffish?

Error 404:

That is amazing.

That's great news, and wait... I remember you, OP from a very long time ago...

The Flood? <3

I ran into a few people from there recently. FishSlapped, Teh Puma, and a few others I hardly remember. What's up with Good Travis being "Bad Travis" now?

Well if you're good at writing, then maybe you could start out writing some original Bungie/Halo themed stories or to interview users here on Bungie.net. If you're up to it, I would recommend doing a documentary of Bungie.net. Now that would be one heck of an awesome project!

Like, a history sort of thing? Also, I've already interviewed quite a few members and several Employees for Bungiepedia; it would be kind of redundant to place them on Bungie.co... or would it?

Yes, I was thinking of making a documentary on the history of Bungie.net. It would be an awesome project to do. As for your interviews, I wouldn't think that it would be too outrageous to post them on your own website.

Subdomain. I didn't even find out about this site until a bit ago; it's pretty cool, from what I can tell. The only problem I would have with the history of Bnet is resources: the only people who could talk to me about this are urk and Achronos, pretty much; I suppose I could ask mehve a few questions or something, but I doubt any of them would help me, especially Achronos.

True, but I'm sure if you had the time to dig through old posts and news articles you could make a piece of a documentary. I'm sure you could even search through Google to find some things. Even if you can't get the whole entire history of Bungie.net, I'm sure that you can get at least bits of it to piece together for a short documentary.

I can try. I've sifted through the old posts from about 2004 before for -blam!-s and giggles anyways; there's some interesting stuff hidden back there. just another fan was everywhere.

brb PMing urk and a few others

I'd make a fun flash game starring soffish. Or virtual fish tank filled with soffishies. Or better yet combine the two to make a virtual fish tank game starring soffish. Have it where you need to log in everyday to feed your soffish, or you soffish will disintegrate. And if you get enough points you can buy cool fish tank decorations like a worthog, or other cool Bungie iconic fish tank decor.

Key

Go into MS Paint and write everyone's names at [odd] angles. Make sure to ask them what color they want their name to be, or the project won't work.

...That counts as a community project now a days, right?

Sorry... the profanity filter dislikes my particular synonym for the word "odd". I shall replace it as such.

Maybe for Christmas. Omar is gonna help me with the project he suggested; feel free to continue posting ideas, however. If you'd like to help with the Bnet History Project, PM me.
